Hi loves! Enjoy this chap because I'm sorry to say this but it's the last.I pulled the three kids closer to me as Jake and his pack returned from their chase after Santiago.
"Did you-?"
"No, the leech got away." Jake cut my question off.
I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose, this had a total de ja vu feeling.
"Alice?" Carlisle asked.
"There's no way to get to him, he's already too far. Aro was anxious, he didn't understand why the best of his guard hadn't returned. He was suspicious of them turning and sent Santiago to check on them."
"Perfect! Just perfect." I mumbled.
"I really hate my in laws, Demetri. I really do." I said, the words dripping with irritation.
"Why does this always happen to us?!" Rosalie yelled, cradling Verabelle in her arms.
"We're just going to have to make sure it ends for good this time." Jane replied.
"Jane, what are you suggesting?" I asked slowly.
"She thinks we should kill off the Volturi." Edward said, alarmed.
Various members of the family began yelling in a panic, voices raising and covering others. I shifted my weight to one hip then held my palms up, a huge gust of wind pushed at the others with a loud roar, shutting them up.
"Before we all start panicking, perhaps we should hear Jane out." I said calmly, looking to Jane.
The petite blonde shifted around awkwardly, her arms cradling the medium sized baby bump. "I mean think about it, somehow you all are always involved with the Volturi. It seems like your supposed to go against them, defeat them even. You've all faced many challenges and they all lead back to my previous coven, this could be a sign they're meant to be brought down. Maybe our family should be the leaders instead."
I blinked in shock, I had never realized how often we had been immersed into the Volturi. I bit my lip awkwardly and spoke up, "Perhaps this would be a good time to call Lady?"
"It would seem so, could you put her on speaker Rebecca?" Carlisle asked.
I nodded and and went to my contacts, flicking through to find her and pressing the call button when I did. I swiftly turned on the speaker and the dial tone soon filled the quiet space.
"Hello? Hello?" Her voice came through loudly.
"Lady? It's Becky and the rest of us." I answered.
"Oh hey! What up guys I'm only writing."
"We have some concerns we would like to share with you Lady, if that's alright?" Carlisle asked.
"Sure, sure, it's no problem."
"Jane just seemed to point out that most of our current events and some past ones have been tied back to the Volturi and believes we should,um, take over." Carlisle said.
Silence followed with a faint static noise, "Well then, Jane appears to be right."
"What?" Serenity asked.
"The Volturi have been a great power for a very long time but prove to be more harming then helpful. They have torn apart many covens and murdered countless innocents. The vampire world deserves more caring leaders than these. It would also be nice to visit Volterra without the fear I'll become someone's desert." She responded with a slight laugh.
