Yeji (ITZY) x G!P Reader
⚠️Smut⚠️, Angst, & Fluff
(A/n: Requested but they asked not to be mentioned.)Y/n's POV
Every time I see her face, my heart breaks. I know we ended on agreeable terms but why can't I get over the thought she probably left me for better?
I rubbed my face, drinking the glass of aged whiskey. I despised the taste but at least it helped me feel again.
My phone buzzed before I grabbed it. The Lock Screen froze me, that beautiful face haunting my memory.
"Y-Yeji?" I whispered.
"Hey kid," the bartender came to me. "You should probably slow it down. This is the third time you've been in this week."
"I can handle myself," I dismissed his words. "I know I can."
I watched him sigh deeply in thought. He topped my glass off again.
"Two more and you're done," he gave me a look.
"This is only my seventh drink," I leered.
"And I'm cutting you off early since you asked for the strong stuff tonight," he shook his head. "I'm just looking out for you Y/n."
My mind echoed those words.
~~FLASHBACK~~
"Ugh Y/n you're not my parent!" Yeji threw her purse to the couch. "I can go out and have fun if I want!"
"I'm just looking out for you Yeji," I groaned.
I sat next to her, looking at the ground. I scratched my neck. We've been arguing a lot but what couple doesn't?
I mean sure, she's an idol. I want what's best for her but I also want her safe. I just worry. I worry a lot.
"What have we become?" She whispered. "All we do is argue anymore."
I kept quiet. I didn't want to piss her off anymore.
"Y/n?" She rubbed my back.
"What do you want to do then?" I looked to her.
I saw the contemplation in her eyes. My heart ached, I knew the answer. I just......I needed to hear it from her.
"Maybe we should break up?" I shut my eyes hearing her say those words.
My head hung down, burying into my hands. I felt her hand grip my shoulder.
"Such a harsh decision," I gulped.
Yeji laid her head against the side of mine, taking in a deep breath.
"I think we just need some time apart," she ran her fingers through my hair. "To really think about everything."
"Yeji I-."
She pecked my lips gently. I furrowed my brows and sighed.
"I'll go pack a bag," she got up from the couch.
I watched her walk away.
"That easily?" I spoke up.
"Y/n-."
"What did I do?" I stood up. "I'll fix it. Yeji please don't leave. I love you."
"I love you too," she came back to me. "But this isn't working.....at least right now. We need time."
