Yeji's POV

"Agent Hwang we are assigning you to this case because we believe you have earned your stripes accordingly," my boss smiled.

I took the folder, opening it slowly.

"The woman in this folder is very dangerous," he started. "She's a cartel boss, one of the most wanted by the FBI in several countries. We don't have enough to pin her on for time in prison here so we are going to do some trading through countries."

"So what is my part in this sir?" I asked intrigued.

"We want you to get close to her," he explained.

"Close to her?" I looked at more pictures.

"She frequents a bar uptown," he pointed to a map. "We want you to put yourself in a position where you will be able to know everything about her."

"So kind of like a girlfriend but not really," I clarified.

"Exactly," he nodded. "You cannot actually grow feelings for someone like this. It will not only jeopardize the assignment but also compromise you."

I nodded, taking in everything I needed to know.

"We have a fake name and even documentation for you in order to succeed," he gave me another folder.

"I won't let you down sir," I saluted.

"I know you won't," he smiled.

~~TIME SKIP~~

"Just remember your training," my partner smiled.

I nodded, hugging her tight.

"If this takes more than two years," I whispered. "Tell me."

"The boss is giving you leeway for a three to four year investigation," she shrugged.

I sighed deeply.

"Stay safe Chaeryeong," I smiled.

"You too Unnie," she smiled back.

I left the sting house and walked on foot to the local bar this woman hung out at. My nerves were high but this operation will be easy for me.

My last relationship left me shambles, I haven't been the same. Me actually developing feelings for this person seems impossible.

I entered the bar and saw the small amount of people dancing. I went to the bar, ordering a shot of Tequila to ease my nerves.

And that's when I saw those eyes. After four months of training, nothing could've prepared me for the feeling that went through my body.

It wasn't panic or even uneasiness. It was warm, like I had known her and was waiting to see her again.

I moved to the dance floor and made my presence known. She eyed me, my eyes pouring deeply into hers.

She stood up, walking to me. I let out a soft breath feeling someone grab me from behind.

"You look beautiful," a guy slurred into my ear.

"She's mine Minho," a heard another voice.

"Shit sorry Y/n," he backed up instantly.

"What's a pretty girl like you dancing in a bar like this?" The woman whispered into my ear. "And provoking me?"

"It's not my fault my eyes liked what I saw," I flirted. "I'm Bae Yeji."
