"Ralph, shut the actual hell up!" I scream at my big, rot wheeler dog. He is never the one to bark, even so at this ridiculous time.

"It's 4 am you stupid canine!" I kick him off the foot of my bed and he lands with a big thud. But, still continues to bark. He begins pacing down the hallway still making the hideous noise.

"NO! You dumb animal, you'll wake everyone up!" I scream in a whisper before he gets too fat down the hallway. My little sister, Genevieve, walks out of her room her eyes clogged with sleep and a slopped body posture.

"What is happening?" She questions.

"Oh nothing. Don't worry. Get back to sleep I'll make him be quiet!" Genevieve walks back into the room quietly pushing her door closed.

I grab the dog and lead him into my room. I rest him in the corner of the room and give him a treat so he will shut up. I jump straight into bed and close my eyes hoping to get back into my dream I was having about winning the Hunger Games. I have all capabilities too, so I'm definitely considering seeing's this is my last year. Just I fall into a deep slumber there is a pounding on my door that makes me jump out of bed almost immediately. I make my emotionless body towards the door and open it wide to the face of an angry mayor, my father.

"Wake me up again or you and you dog will be exterminated. Are we clear" He says in a harsh whisper.

"Crystal" I say hushed by loud enough for it to sound sarcastic. That is when he grabs me by the shirt in lifts me into the air about an inch. It is pretty intimidating when a 6 foot 8 man has taken you into the air with one hand.

"Don't give me smart ass remarks kid! I have all power to forge all of them name in that bowl to all have 'Cameron White' written on them. So I suggest you dispose of your attitude and get back to sleep where I don't have to constantly make an effort to stop you from being, well... such an ass. Okay" He then chucks me to the ground, only hard enough for me to stumble on my feet not to get me flat on the ground.

Great! Absolutely perfect. Another run in with my dad, the mayor of District Four. I am clearly his least favourite child. He makes no effort on me at all. Knowing him he will probably do everything it takes to get my name pulled out for him to ship my off to my death. He will fail, because when I get in that arena, I'll show him, exactly what his eldest son is made of and exactly what he can do. By then I'll have enough money to sue him of everything he owns.

Reaping is crowded. Which doesn't make life much as easier as the storm has really kicked in. Everyone is supplied with Capitol made umbrella's which nothing different from the ones we get ship from District Nine. But what also makes the moment worse is that my father is giving his speech to the District.

"This reminds us of what we have done." He continues from a previous part of his speech

"This teaches our Children," He continues making deep eye contact as he is using me as an example "That they are not all as important as they seem to be" Although this has no relevance as to why we have these games, he just wants to publically humiliate me. But to my surprise he didn't mention my name once. That doesn't stop me from bottling all my anger inside. There is so much I want to say but it is too late. When the escort, Kam, announces a young boys name I have no other option, then to stand up and take the boys place

"I VOLUNTEER!"

The last words my father will ever hear from me live. Even if I do win this, there will be no contact between us. My father gets out of his chair on stage, with a face of worry. I stick my middle finger up at him and make my way to the escort and the highly good-looking female tribute. My efficient stride tells the audience the sort of tribute I want to be. Not to ruthless, but confident. Because, at the end of the day, there is only one thing I want, and that is revenge.
