The sun was already setting and Akoya still hadn't found any islands. The stars started to appear when she finally found some land. It was a huge island, with a forest and multiple animals.

Akoya, due to her aching wings, crash landed onto the trees and landed on some bushes.

"Ow," she grunted as she got up and looked around. In the distance, she saw a large field and a gray building. What is that? She wondered.

She made her way to it, and walked up to the door. She opened it, and inside was a very futuristic-looking hallway with blue lights coming from the walls and many metal parts.

"Hello?" Akoya called.

She walked down the hallway, which lead to a room with three doorways. Two of them had doors, while the one on her right didn't and was a staircase leading downwards. She walked down the stairs and it was a large room with many things that seemed to be fragile. There were glass tubes, some filled with weird glowy liquids, and more things like that.

Then she noticed a dragon who looked much like a SkyWing but instead had light gray scales and a yellow glowing stripe that matched his eye colour.

"Oh," he said, "Hello."

"Hi... What is this place?" Akoya asked and scanned the room once again.

"It's my laboratory," the dragon responded.

"Laboratory?"

"Yup, I like to make new tribes by getting DNA from other existing tribes," he answered.

"Huh," Akoya said as she looked around.

"Don't touch anything!" The dragon called from across the room as Akoya was about to grab a tube with glowy orange liquid.

"Sorry," she mumbled.

"It's alright. By the way, I'm Sianco. You?" He asked.

"My name is Akoya," she answered.

"Ah, that's a nice name," Sianco said, "Akoya."

"Um, Sianco?" Akoya spoke. "Can you show me around?"

Sianco sighed and got up. "Of course."

He walked through a different hallway, and Akoya went after him.

"So, what do you do? Are you a scientist?" she asked curiously.

"Yup! And I've been working on a project for years. Though my queen didn't like my idea so I got kicked out of the tribe and I decided to hide here. I didn't know how I would do it, but then I made a deal with someone and he a gave me an enchanted scroll. So now I can complete my dream!" Sianco explained.

"What is the project about?" Akoya asked.

"I'm making new tribes, like I said before, and once I'm done I'm going to release them and make territories for them, and then they would be part of the continent!"

Akoya had more questions, but when Sianco lead her to a long room, she was stunned.

There were dragons in large prison-like rooms, but strangely enough they seemed fine with it.

"This is where I get DNA from dragons. Well, these are the dragons I get the DNA from, that's what I meant," Sianco said.

"...What- but- this is terrible! Why would someone like to live in a cave that's like a prison for some kind of scientist?!" Akoya yelled. She noticed that dragons where coming out of their hiding spots to see what was going on.

"Because I need them for my projects. But hey, don't be angry! I treat them nicely and give them food all the time," Sianco debated.

Akoya rolled her eyes and kept walking. She read the tribes on the labels. There were dragons from Pyrrhia and Pantala, but there were some tribes she didn't recognise. She kept reading; FishWings, TreeWings, WindWings...

They stopped at the end of the tunnel, in front of a large gray safe.

"This is my safe with my projects in it. I'm the only dragon who can open this, so if anyone tries to get in, they won't be able to," Sianco said.

He opened it and stepped inside. Akoya followed, and realised the room was quite chilly. There were large boxes with papers in them, as well as some things she couldn't pick up the names of.

"If you DARE say anything about me and my lab to anyone, I will kill you," Sianco threatened in a low growl.

"Okay..." Akoya answered uneasily.

"Anyways," Sianco said, shifting back to his normal tone. "Here is the containers with the new tribe DNA. It's very cold in these glass boxes, so I don't recommend putting your talon in it."

They walked around the room, and talked about the tribes, when suddenly Akoya's wing knocked down one of the glass containers. It fell on the floor and shattered into a million pieces.

"Oh my god, I-I am so sorry!" Akoya said.

Sianco shrieked. "NO! THE LEOWINGS!"

He took a closer look at the broken glass. "What have you done?" He said shakily.

Uh oh, she thought. "I-I am so sorry, Sianco! It was accidental!" Akoya managed to say.

"You're going to pay for this," Sianco growled menacingly.

Akoya ran out of the exit, put she stopped to look at Sianco chasing after her. She was frozen, and just accepted her fate. But then, as Sianco was going to claw her, there was a border every time he tried.

She quickly realised that the necklace she stole from her father was protecting her from Sianco's attack.

Huh, so that's what it does, Akoya thought.

"What? Why can't I hurt you?" Sianco said, seeming very confused.

Akoya got up and kept running.

"Come back!" Sianco roared.

She quickly turned around and slashed his snout, leaving a bloody scar on it.

"Ow!" Sianco yelped and held his snout.

Akoya ran through his lab and up the stairs, then through the hallway and out of the door. She scanned the field surrounded with trees, and then she heard a psst coming from the bushes. She looked at the direction it came from, and saw Moonshine signalling to come to her. Akoya ran over to her and said, "Why did you send me here?"

"Sorry, it was meant to be. Quick, follow me," Moonshine whispered. "Hey, that rhymed."

Akoya chuckled. "Yup."

They stopped at the beach of the island and Moonshine spoke.

"Okay, so, what you need to do now is just fly that way until you find land. When you do find it, it won't be an island. It will be the actual continent. Also, if you see a large white or gray building with some towers, go to it. I think you will like it."

"Okay," Akoya replied.

"Alright. Now go!" Moonshine said.

"Wait-"

"Just go!" Moonshine pushed her.

Akoya leaped into the air and spread her wings, flying away from the island once again.

She sighed. I wish Moonshine would be with me more, she thought. She shook that thought away and decided to think about the adventure in front of her.

Let's explore this continent!
