Akoya had no idea how long it had been since she had fallen asleep, but the sun was just starting to set and could tell that it had been a few hours.
When her vision became less blurry, she saw a pink dragon with green legs, staring directly at her. "Hi," she said.
Akoya jumped back and covered herself with her wing out of fear.
"Oh, sorry! Didnt mean to scare you. Do you need help?" the dragon said.
Akoya didnt reply.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"Akoya," she answered.
"Nice to meet you Akoya, my name is Queen Dahlia." The dragon smiled.
Akoya's eyes widened. She didn't realise that she was speaking to a queen.
"Do you need help?" Queen Dahlia asked. "Here, lets go to my palace, shall we? I'll help you with whatever you need."
Akoya followed Queen Dahlia to a large palace in the middle of a birch forest. There were many colourful dragons everywhere, and there were lots and lots of flowers throughout the whole palace. Soon enough, Akoya was brought to a room she assumed was the hospital.
"Check up this dragonet for me, will you?" Queen Dahlia said to the nurse.
"Of course," the nurse replied.
And then Queen Dahlia left, leaving Akoya and the nurse alone in the room. Or so Akoya thought. Turns out there were many wounded dragons in a seperate room with more nurses who were taking care of them.
The nurse set Akoya on a bed and started asking her a few questions. "How are you feeling? Are you sick? Tired? Hurt?"
Akoya shook her head. She wasn't tired at all after that long nap, and she definitely didn't feel sick nor hurt.
As the nurse was examining her, Queen Dahlia had returned with a big, purple-scaled dragon by her side.
The dragon looked at her. "Why did you bring a FishWing to your kingdom?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Oh, Akoya's not a FishWing," Queen Dahlia chuckled, "I dont think. Are you a FishWing?"
"No, I dont even know what FishWings are," Akoya answered and shook her head.
"Huh, you must be from Bluet Ravine," Queen Dahlia noted. "Are you lost?"
"I think we should send her to that city," the dragon suggested.
"Yes, good idea. Akoya, come, follow me," Queen Dahlia said.
Akoya followed the two dragons and hovered over the palace.
"Do you see that mountain range over there? Thats the city," Queen Dahlia directed towards some distant rocky mountains.
"Oh, okay, thanks a lot! Bye!" Akoya was smiling with glee and left before she could let Queen Dahlia finish.
"Oh- You're welcome! Goodbye! Have a good journey!" Queen Dahlia called.
Akoya was flying as excitement rushed through her body. But then Moonshine stopped her.
"Oh! Moonshine! Thank the moons you're okay!" Akoya cried and hugged her.
"Yes," Moonshine spoke calmly. "But, Akoya, you can't go to the city. It's not time yet."
"Ughh," Akoya groaned, "That is so stupid! I dont care about fate anymore, I just want to live happily!"
Somehow that actually shook Moonshine and made her pause for a moment.
"You're... You're right," Moonshine sighed. "You dont always have to follow your fate. And infact, there are no consiquences. It was just so you could experience more."
Akoya blinked. "Really?"
"Yep."
"Oh," Akoya's face lit up. "Then lets go!"
Moonshine smiled. "Follow me!"
