*Ciel's POV*
We were walking towards the dorms to get some rest as we were happy and relieved by the turn of events earlier. We were able to not only avoid expulsion thanks to getting the magestone, me and Grim were enrolled here as students. But for me, I was just not a normal student but as a perfect none the less. I don't know what a perfect is, but I from what I can infer, it was the head of the assigned dorms. So, that means that there will be a time when I have to go to meetings with the other perfects present.
"Phew... We managed to avoid expulsion. That was a close one!" Deuce sighs in relief
"Yeah, no kidding!" Ace sighs in relief as well
"La la la la la! I'm a student at Night Raven College! La la la! I'm gonna be the top mage on campus in no time. Enjoy eating my dust, boys!" Grim boasted in front of us.
"Looks like he's still not paying attention to what's going on around him." I said with an awkward smile.
"Big words for a sentient pile of lint who's literally only half a student. Still... Good for you." Ace said with a smile
"I guess we're schoolmates now. Grim, Ciel- welcome to Night Raven." Deuce said to me and Grim
"The pleasure is all mine!" I said
"Okay, seriously, can we quit it with that stuff?" Ace stated as I smirk
"Nope." Ace just groans
"By the way..." Deuce trailed off as as I look at him.
'Here it comes...' I thought to myself
"You said that you have amnesia, just how bad is it?" Deuce asked
"Yeah... Know that I think about it, you see to get confused at certain things that is well known." Ace said
"Well, when I was catching a break from running from Grim I soon realized that I couldn't remember almost anything about me or my life not even my name. It wasn't until I saw a faint memory that told me at least my first name or I think it's my first name." I explained
"So, that means you don't remember going to school either?" Ace asked me as I nod
"Man, that's lame... Not remembering barely anything." Grim said as I sigh
"Yeah..." Ace then smiles at me
"Don't worry, we'll help you out! After all, you're a fellow student now." Ace said with a smile
"Heh. We'll be seeing each other all the time now. We'll see what a pleasure that turns out to be. Especially you, Ace, since we're in the same dorm." Deuce stated with a smile towards me and Grim before groaning at Ace.
"Whatever. Let's just get back to the dorm. After nearly getting expelled, the last thing we need is a curfew violation." Ace said
"We're from Heartslabyul House, by the way. What dorm are you guys in?" Deuce asked us.
"The dorm we're in has been abandoned for years... We've taken to callin' it 'Ramshackle House.' The ol' dump is literally full of ghosts, Yeesh." Grim explained
"I see, while I'm stuck with Ace." Deuce said while pointing towards Ace.
"Yeaaah, can't say I'm jazzed to see your smug, self-important scowl every day." Ace said with a smirk on his face.
"Better than your lazy, dopey grin." Deuce said with a scowl on his face towards Ace.
"Keep bawling, crybaby. I haven't forgotten how you almost wept when he said you were expelled. Catch ya later, Ciel." Ace said
I watch as Ace and Deuce go on ahead of us as they continued to poke fun at each other while they were walking. I couldn't help but see that despite their personality being almost polar opposite, they seem to get along with each other. I guess there's a saying for that but I'll have to find that later. Grim was watching the two leave as well, I guess he had the same thoughts about those two like I did. But it seems that I had a hard time in putting my thoughts into words because I didn't know what to say.
"Oh, um-" I was cut off by Grim
"Man, those two are made for each other. Maybe they're the type who bond through squabbling? Anyway, Ciel, let's get back to the dorm!" Grim said
"Let's go, we need a well-deserved rest." I said with a smile
"Tomorrow when we wake, it won't be as janitors. Finally, finally... My glorious education as a proper Night Raven College student is about to begin!" Grim cheered with tears of joy
"Can't to see what's in store for us." I said
We continued making our way to the dorms so we can get some sleep so we'll be able to wake up on time for school. The last thing I want for the both of us is for me and Grim to be late on our first day of school. Well, first day of school as students since yesterday was the first day that school started. But I think lessons begins tomorrow as first days are probably used for showing new students around the school and where everything is. Though, I can worry about that tomorrow, trying to think of what ifs will make it harder for me to sleep.
