I catch her before she could fall to the ground. I checked when she is hurt before taking her bridal style into the bathroom and said Mike to take care of her

The asshole was still in the room when I got back. I held him by his shirt and walked with him out of the house

"Man I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean to-"

I threw the punch into Jake's face before he could even finish his sentence. I don't give a fuck right now. He hurt her now I hurt him

Soon he ended in the ground, I didn't really know what I'm doing but it wasn't something I'd like to look at

He tried to cover his face at least but that didn't help him at all. He ended up with a swallowed and bruised face. I let him go before I'd kill him

When I walked into the bathroom again, I saw Mike cleaning her wound. It isn't something big but I know for sure she won't feel good after that

Mike bandaged her wound before taking her into her room. I blinded the curtains as he lay her on her bed

"What happened?"

"I and Jake started fighting he ended up throwing a beer can at her when she tried to stop us" I sat on the chair next to her bed and watched her

"That son of a bitch" Mike was about to go beat his ass when I stopped him

"I already did it, he probably rode to the hospital by now" I mumbled not taking my eyes off her face "she'll be okay just a headache for some time"

"Thank you, bro, I owe you"

"It's okay mate, you'd do that for my sister too" we both looked at Lily for a bit longer "go tell guys they can go home or whatever I'll wait until she wakes up" Mike nodded before walking out

LILY

I woke up with a big headache, the one when you can't even lie without feeling it. I somehow appeared in my room, the windows were covered in curtains so my eyes didn't hurt from the light but I could still see a body sitting on the chair next to my bed

"What happened?" I slowly sat up holding my head. The body suddenly stood up and pushed my shoulders back down making me lie again

"Just lay down for a bit longer you have a cut next to your left eye" Tom stroked my hair while looking at me "I'm sorry, if I didn't start the fight with Jake he'd never do it" I shook my head

"It's his fault, not yours get it? You just tried to protect me which I'm grateful for" I kissed Tom's lips without any hesitation

"I should've protected you" he lay on top of me and buried his head into my neck

"You're doing it right now" I whispered while stroking his hair

"Tell me if you're uncontrollable with me like that, your head must hurt" Tom mumbled making me chuckle

"I'm completely fine like this"

"Alright" he whispered before we fell asleep

"Are you sure you feel good? You can stay home if you don't" dad said with a worried face. Mike told him the truth. He was angry but when he found out Jake got what he deserved and that he'll never see him again, he was at least a little satisfied
