Chapter 7

"Why are you so nervous , Y/n ? You have met them several times. It's just a simple dinner. Nothing for you to worry about." Y/n's father , Mr Park , said calmly.

"You forced me here , dad." Y/n scoffs.

"They are our family friends and I am not going to ruin that because Jaehyun and you broke up." Mr Park sternly said.

Y/n silently follows her father and they reach the table that was booked by Jaehyun and his family for the night. Jaehyun's mother and father hugs Y/n as she nods awkwardly. Jaehyun stares at her weirdly making her irritated. Soon they all settle in to have dinner.

"So how is college treating you , Y/n ? Is everything going good ?" Jeahyun's mother asks sweetly.

Y/n liked her. She was a kind woman.

"Yes , aunty. I am doing good." Y/n replies back with a smile.

"Listen I know about the break up. I don't have any problem with it , yeah ? So don't be so formal with me." Jaehyun's mother squeezes her hand in a loving way. Y/n sighs in relief at the gesture, "Thank you."

Jaehyun's father laughs, "So why did you guys break up ? Was it something Jaehyun did ?"

Jaehyun's mother pokes her husband as a warning but everyone looks at Y/n expectantly so she bits her lips nervously, "We weren't compatible."

Jaehyun's scoffs "Lie."

Y/n glares at Jaehyun, "I am not lying. You know that. Our relationship was new and it wasn't going anywhere."

"Not going anywhere ? We were dating , Y/n. It takes time to develop a relationship. You didn't even give me that." Jaehyun argues.

"Time is needed when we know the relationship is working. Between us it was nothing. Don't blame me for that." Y/n grits out.

"We kissed , Y/n ! You kissed me back ! And one fine day you go ahead and break us apart. So it is your fault." Jeahyun shouts. The parents stares at them horrified. Y/n smiles a sadly, "Kissed ? Which kiss are you talking about ? The kiss which you forced on me ? Infront of the entire college. You forcefully harrassed me ! Is that it ?"

Mr Park attempts to get up from his seat to hit Jaehyun but Y/n holds him back. Jaehyun's parents give him a disappointed glance and then apologies to Mr Park and Y/n with shameful faces.

"You are in a relationship already. What about that ?" Jaehyun spits out.

Y/n freezes. If her father got to know about Jungkook he was sure to refuse so she hoped that Jaehyun would not spill anything. But fate had different plans.

"Did you know that , uncle ? She got herself a new boyfriend. A low class scum who has no status to stand before us. That's who she is dating now." Jaehyun smirks evilly.

On impulse Y/n shoves her wine on his face angrily making everyone gasp. It's a good thing that the restaurant provided them a private area or else everyone will be watching this drama spew out. Y/n throws the napkin on her lap to the table and stands up, "I dare you to call him that again ! You need to learn how to behave first. Then come asking for a date. You are clearly not ready to be in a mature relationship where there is respect and understanding."

"I am staying at Tessa's house for the night. You can go home." Y/n hurries out to her father before rushing out to hail a cab.

Jungkook was patiently waiting for his girlfriend to message or call him while leaning against the balcony rails of his house. He finally went back to his parents house for three days and surprisingly they didn't utter a word to him , merely acknowledged his presence.
