I preserve my detective beast
as I roam this glass neighborhood.
But all it took for me
was for your house of glass
to reflect my embarrassingly selfless self
for me to investigate. Not one cushion was left unchecked,
not one doorknob left not examined.
Not one word you said was left forgotten,
not one room left not inspected. At last, I concluded that
I was exaggerating,
unable to leave my detective beast
properly locked in his cage. But could I leave feeling certain of the outcome of my investigation?
I checked every cushion once more,
examined every doorknob once more.
Every word was remembered once more,
and every room was inspected once more.At last, I concluded that
I was exaggerating,
unable to leave my detective beast
properly locked in his cage. But could I leave feeling certain of the outcome of my investigation?
I checked every cushion once more,
examined every doorknob once more.
Every word was remembered once more,
and every room was inspected once more.At last, I concluded that
I was exaggerating,
unable to leave my detective beast
properly locked in his cage. But could I leave feeling certain of the outcome of my investigation?
I checked every cushion once more,
examined every doorknob once more.
Every word was remembered once more,
and every room was inspected once more.At last, I concluded that
I was exaggerating,
unable to leave my detective beast
properly locked in his cage. But could I leave feeling certain of the outcome of my investigation?
I checked every cushion once more,
examined every doorknob once more.
Every word was remembered once more,
and every room was inspected once more.At last, I concluded that
I was insane,
unable to leave my detective beast
locked away forever. But could I leave feeling certain of the outcome of my investigation?
I checked every cushion once more,
examined every doorknob once more.
Every word was remembered once more,
and every room was inspected once more.At last, I had to stop.
It was time for me to
face my own glass palace,
face whatever it was that made me
the selfless self that I was.
