The captain of our ship
has gone missing.

We searched for footprints and fingerprints
but could not find any.
We asked our crew for hints
and did not receive many.

And yet our ship has still sailed
with our captain having bailed,
though we've nothing but derailed,
searching for the sailor once hailed
by his crew, but himself failed.

Except he never once steered this ship.

The wind of the ocean blue
sailed this ship through
the world that we never knew.
This journey felt too good to be true
as we wandered without a clue.

It's time we learn how to steer this ship.

If only we had known
the joy of having grown
like the birds who've flown.

Godspeed to you,
my abandoned crew.
