Arneth POV:
-Flashback 22 years ago-
I run down the halls of Rivendell after Uncle Elrond finishes my lesson. I take my bow and arrow to go and practice. My long dark locks swing behind me. The sunlight shimmers in my blue orbs. Suddenly, I run into someone.
"I'm so sorry! I did not notice you were there!" I exclaim. The kid turns around and I realize he's not an elf.
"It's alright. I'm Estel and who are you?" He asks.
"I'm Arneth." I reply and he grins.
"I see you're heading to the archery?" He asks.
"Yes. I am."
"We can go together then."
"Of course!"
-End Of Flashback-
I take a deep breath and sit up. I've known Aragorn for 22 years now. We are as close as twins can be. We always go everywhere together.
I am now 1022 years old (22 in human age) and Aragorn is 24. After meeting him, I soon find out he was the Heir Of Isildur.
After the death of my parents by the Gundabad, and finding out I have elemental powers, I have realized that I have to travel Middle-Earth and learn about it myself. My uncle, of course argued against it but my decision was final.
I couldn't tell Aragorn I was leaving face-to-face for he still does not know that I am Lord Elrond's niece and Gil-Gadad's daughter or that I have powers. Although he does know that I am one of the Middle-Earth's greatest warrior's and the orcs are targeting me, and thinks that I am Lord Elrond's daughter.
I decide to write a note to him as farewell. I take out some spare parchment and start writing with a quill.
Dear Aragorn,
I have to leave. I do not want to see anyone suffer just because the orcs want me. You know I could never bear if anyone is hurt because of me. I will miss you a lot but I will try and come back. I hope you will understand.
Do not fear to become what you are, brother. You are definitely not him. You have the same blood but not the same heart. You have a golden heart that helps more than itself.
The ring I leave for you, shall I always protect you with it. Thank you for bringing hope into my life. I will come back to you in the right time.
Love,
Your Sister, Arneth
I take another deep breath, fold the parchment, put the ring inside and change into my travelling clothes. I take my weapons and head our of my room carefully. Just as I'm about to head to the kitchens to get some lembas, I hear someone moving behind me and quickly take my dagger out of my sleeve and point it at their throat. I let out a sigh when I find out it is my uncle.
"I see I've taught you well," he says, his expression amused.
"That you have," I reply grinning. "I'm looking for some lembas,"
"Are you sure you want to leave?" He asks suddenly serious, his brows furrowed.
"I am sure. I do not want to risk my people's lives because of me." I reply my blue orbs glistening in the light.
"A true queen indeed." He replies, once again amused.
He leads me to the kitchen where an elleth hands me some lembas. We head to the stables, where Aredhel, my horse was waiting. Aredhel was a mairas, and the daughter of Shadowfax, Lord of All Horses. She was also as fast as him, if not faster. I make sure I have all my weapons that I need and walk towards Aredhel. When I turn around, I see my uncle, cousins, Lindir, and Glorfindel standing on the verge of tears. Lindir and Glorfindel were always a huge part of my childhood. They were not only my mentors, but they were like father-figures to me.
Arwen slowly comes up to me, tears in her eyes, and hugs me tightly. I also wrap my arms around her. Elladan, Elrohir, and I have always been protective of her as she was the youngest. I kiss her forehead as she lets go. The others come up and hug me as well. Finally, my uncle comes up and kisses my forehead. By now, I also have tears in my eyes.
"May Valar be with you, my dear child," He whispers slowly and takes the parchment for Aragorn from me. "I shall give this to him," he whispers slowly. I nod and get on Aredhel and begin to head towards the South. Not a lot of people venture there as the pirates and orcs drew the sailors out of their own lands. I will have to help them reclaim it.
Aragorn POV:
I wake up by the sound of hooves. I get dressed and head out of my chamber to find Arneth. She and I practiced every morning. When I go outside, I only see Lord Elrond, his children, Lindir, and Glorfindel standing in tears staring at a figure of an elleth leaving on a horse.
When I get closer, I realize that it is Arneth, my dear sister. My eyes widen and I look at Elrond for an explanation and all he does is wipe his tears, and give me a piece of parchment.
I read all of it and realize there are also tears in my eyes. Why did she leave? I would've went with her if she would've told me. There is beautiful ring attached to the letter. I take it and put it on.
Arwen busts into tears as Elrond goes and hugs her. I just stay there for 30 minutes and then decide to go and train myself. I have to go to the Dudnedáin in case she has gone to the North.
