Suddenly, loud rustling comes from deep within the forest. I whip my head in the direction and unsheathe my sword.

 "Something's coming!" Thorin calls out.

Gandalf withdraws his sword, running to the dwarves. "Stay together! Hurry now, arm yourselves!"

Bilbo lingers behind me. Slowly, he draws out the sword, looking in wonder at the weapon's power. He turns, and we run to join the others.

Riding at full speed through the trees, Radagast the Brown, is led by a rabbit-drawn sled. He bursts through the woods, startling the Company.

"Thieves! Fire! Murder! Radagast draws to a halt. The dwarves all have their weapons withdrawn. They look to Gandalf and I for an explanation of this odd sight,"

"Radagast! It's Radagast the Brown," Gandalf exclaims. Gandalf walks towards his fellow wizard. He seems glad with this new arrival.

————————————————————————

Gandalf smokes on his pipe with a grave expression. Radagast, Mithrandir and I had gone off several paces from the dwarves.

"The Greenwood is sick, Gandalf, Arneth. A darkness has fallen over it. Nothing grows anymore, at least nothing good. The air is foul with decay. But worse are the webs,"

"Webs? What do you mean?"

"Spiders, Gandalf. Giant ones. Some kind of spawn of Ungoliant, or I am not a wizard. I followed their trail. They came from Dol Guldur," he replies grimly.

"Dol Guldur? But the old fortress is abandoned!"

A sudden vision flashes in my eyes. A necromancer. "No, Gandalf, it is not," I say, panting.

"A dark power dwells in there, such as I have never felt before. It is the shadow of an ancient horror. One that can summon the spirits of the dead," he breathes. " I saw him, Gandalf, from out of the dark. A Necromancer has come," my breath hitches in my throat as he finishes.

Radagast jumps in fright, recalling the memory. He looks at us in an awkward apology. "Sorry,"

"Now, a Necromancer? Are you sure?" Gandalf asks.

From his robes, Radagast pulls out a narrow, cloth wrapped package. Gandalf unties it and looks inside. He looks up, concerned.

"That is not from the world of the living," I say quietly. From the distance, I hear howling. My ears perk up in alarm.

"Was that a wolf? Are there wolves out there?" Bilbo asks confused.

"Wolf? No, that is not a wolf," Fili replies.

From behind a nearby crag, a warg appears. It leaps into the midst of the Company, savage and ferocious. I bury my sword into it's neck, killing it.

Another charges from behind.I draw an arrow, shooting down the beast. It attempts to pick itself back up, but Dwalin brings his hammer down upon it. The warg dies with a whimper.

"Warg scouts! Which means an Orc pack is not far behind," Thorin concludes.

"Orc pack?" Bilbo asks, bewildered.

"Who did you tell about your quest, beyond your kin?" Gandalf asks, angrily as I stab another warg.

"No one," Throin replies.

"Who did you tell?" He asks once again, aggressively.

"No one, I swear. What in Durin's name is going on?" The dwarf asks.
