"He does seem to like (y/n)." Jonathan chimed as you walked down the hallway of the Cairo museum Evelyn worked at.
"Yeah, what's that about?" Rick asked.
"What's this guy want?" Daniels asked.
"There's only one person that can give us any answers," Evy stated as she turned the corner, only to find the museum curator and Ardeth standing there.
"You!" She shouted.
"Ardeth?" You stated, raising a brow.
"Hello, (y/n)," he nodded, his gut fighting the hummingbirds fluttering at the way you said his name so naturally.
Rick, Johnathan, Daniels, and Henderson turned to you both with incredulous looks, suspicious of your familiar tone, before drawing their guns and aiming at the man.
"Ladies. Gentlemen," the curator greeted, giving a respectful nod.
"What is he doing here?" Evy asked, cutting her eyes at the chieftain.
"Do you really want to know, or would you prefer to just shoot us?" The curator scoffed sarcastically.
"After what I just saw, I'm willing to go on a little faith here," Rick sighed, holstering his gun.
"We are part of an ancient secret society. For over three-thousand years we have guarded the City of the Dead. We swore at manhood to do any and all in our part to stop the high priest Imhotep from being reborn into this world," the curator explained.
"Now, because of you, we have failed," Ardeth finished.
"You think that justifies killing innocent people?" Evy asked, rhetorically.
"To stop this creature? Let me think. Yes!" The two answered in unison.
Evy shot them both a sharp glare before pacing off.
"Question. Why doesn't it like cats?" Rick asked, raising his hand.
"Cats are the guardians of the underworld. He will fear them until he is fully regenerated," the curator answered.
"And then he will fear nothing," Ardeth added.
"Yeah, and you know how he gets hisself fully regenerated?" Daniels asked rhetorically.
"By killin' everyone who opened that chest," Henderson finished, wistfully looking down at his gun.
"And suckin 'em dry! That's how!" Daniels exclaimed.
"He will bring on the 10 plagues of Egypt before he is at his full power," Ardeth stated.
"When I first saw him at Hamunaptra, he called me Aja-Nenet. And just now in Mr. Burns' room, he tried to kiss me," you chimed, quizzically. "Now that I think about it, when we were in a village for supplies, everyone was worshiping me and calling me Princess Aja-Nenet."
