"O'Connell does not want to believe, but he flies like Horus towards his destiny," Ardeth turned to you, gliding his hand in the air as if it were a swooping bird.

"Sounds like right," you sighed, taking a swig of your thermos. "He's never been one to have an open mind."

You'd just found out that the tattoo Rick was given when you were in the orphanage was actually a sacred mark of the Medjai, making him a Medjai warrior.

"Yes, yes, very interesting. Tell me some more about this gold pyramid," Jonathan interrupted your conversation, ignoring your scolding glare.

"Well, it is written that since the time of the Scorpion King, no man who has laid eyes upon it has ever returned to tell the tale," Ardeth started.

"Where is all this stuff written...Hello!" Jonathan whispered, smiling at Izzy's golden statue.

He quickly glanced back to see if Izzy was paying attention, smirking to see that he wasn't.

"Pretty nice, eh? This is all I have left in the world. The rest of my fortune was lost to some rather unscrupulous characters, actually," Jonathan bragged, picking it up.

"You lost it gambling, Jonathan," you sighed, rolling your eyes at his blatant lies.

"Did not!" He exclaimed, offended.

"But if the curator reacted to it the way you say, it must be very important. If I were you, I would keep it close," Ardeth suggested, lightly chuckling under his breath.

Jonathan smirked, turning to the Medjai with a confident look.

"My friend, the gods couldn't take this away from me," he smiled.

Just then, Izzy snatched the statue from Jonathan and held it close to himself.

"Keep your hands off it," he spat, narrowing his eyes.

You and Ardeth tried to be respectful, but failed as a few of your laughs managed to escape.

You flew through the night and at sunrise, Horus returned to Ardeth with another message.

"If a man does not embrace his past, he has no future," Ardeth told Rick as Horus perched on his arm, removing the note.

"Look, even if I was some sort of sacred Medjai, what good does that do me now?" Rick asked, skeptical.

"It is the missing piece of your heart. If you embrace it, if you accept it, you can do anything," Ardeth answered.
