Five thousand years ago, a fierce warrior known as the Scorpion King led a great army on a campaign to conquer the known world.

After a vicious campaign, which lasted seven long years, the Scorpion King and his army were defeated and driven deep into the sacred desert of Ahm Shere.

One by one, they slowly perished under the scorching sun, until only the great warrior himself was left alive.

Near death, the Scorpion King made a pact with the dark god, Anubis, that if Anubis would spare his life and let him conquer his enemies, he would give him his soul.

Anubis accepted his offer and spared his life.

Anubis gave the Scorpion King command of his army, and like an evil flood, they washed away all that lay before them.

When his task was done, Anubis forced the Scorpion King to serve him for all time. His army was returned to the sands from whence they came, where they wait, silently, to be awakened once again.

You and Evelyn were using your excavation brushes to examine the hieroglyphics on the wall when a snake suddenly slithered towards your ankle.

"No, thank you," you dismissed, kicking it away and accidentally sending it flying at Rick, who was just walking in.

Luckily, he'd ducked out of the way just in time. "Those things are poisonous, y'know," he stated, turning to watch it slither out the room.

"Only if they bite you," you smirked, going back to the wall.

"What was all that about?" Evelyn asked, not taking her eyes off the inscriptions.

"Oh, nothing. Alex just wanted to show me something. I swear, the kid gets more and more like you everyday," Rick answered with a sigh, raking a tired hand through his hair.

"What, you mean, more attractive, sweet, and devilishly charming?" Evy smirked, turning around and walking over to him.

"No, he's driving me crazy," he smirked back, giving her a kiss, "Now where were we?"

"You two were getting a room," you rolled your eyes, not taking your eyes off of the hieroglyphics.

"Hammer and chisel," Evy corrected, holding up a tiny hammer and chisel.

With a smirk, you picked up your crowbar and slammed it into the wall, knocking it off kilter.

It slowly fell down to reveal a room with tens of skeletons laying in little compartments lining the walls, with even more scorpions and tarantulas on the ground.
