Naruto slipped into sage mode, he searched for the presents of his closet friends. They were tired and exhausted, but they were alive and still fighting. Without wasting another beat Naruto ran off to join them In battle.

Naruto looked down at Neji, life fading from his eyes. Hinata was willing to give her life for him and Neji was willing to give his life for Hinata. For a moment all Naruto felt was empty, so many of those he cared for had lost their lives now. He wasn't sure that he could take any more 'maybe Tobi's right.'
*slap* Hinatas usually gentle touch left a sting on his cheek. Her encouraging words brought him out of the despair he was in. With a new wind of determination he stood taking her hand, passing along some Kubi chakra to her. While physically connected to her he could feel her emotions, she felt proud of Naruto but she also felt love for him. This kind of love felt strange to Naruto a kind of love he hadn't felt before.
He wanted to spend more time holding her hand and trying to figure out this emotion of hers. While he didn't fully understand it he did know that it made him feel good inside, but this is war not the right time to pounder feelings.
Naruto along with the allied force strung into battle once more.

Things were once again looking down for the allied force. They were giving it all they could, and while Naruto had managed to change Tobis heart to be on there side Madara was still going strong and giving them a run for there money.
Before they knew it Madara was casting his infinite Tsukuyomi on the moon. Acting quickly sasuke formed a shield over himself and team 7. As naruto saw the shield going up he felt someone calling his name. He concentrated, quickly feeling that deep in her heart Hinata was calling out to him. She was scared, as the roots of the tree took hold of her and wrapped around her.
Without thinking he sprang forward ready to come to her aid. He couldnt explain it but he felt something for her, feeling her fear all he wanted to do was confront her. Again sasuke moved quick swing his arm and knocking Naruto back to the ground as the shield fully locked them in.
'Hinata, I'm sorry' Naruto said to himself .

Naruto and sasuke laid on the rock bleeding from there lost arms. Sakura was crying as she healed her teammates. She was angry, worried, tried, but most of all happy. Happy to see the end of the war. Happy to see team 7 back together. Happy to hear sasuke had finally seen the error in his ways.
Healed enough for the time being the two men sat up. Sasuke didn't look up as he spoke, " thank you." He practically whispered.
"What was that?" Naruto said as he dramatically cleaned his ear as if to help him hear better.
Sasuke glared over at his friend, annoyed he did realize his friends to deserved to hear his gratitude. " thank you, for never giving up on me. For coming after me even when I said not to." This time sasuke spoke louder and look up at both his friends.
Sakura was over come with emotions and silently cried. Those were words she wanted to hear so badly but long ago thought she would never hear them.
Narutos goofy grin slipped away turning more serious, " I never go back on my word, nor leave a friend behind. Cause those that would are worst then scum." Using his stub of an arm he hit the back of sasuke laughing.
Sasuke said nothing but he did smile to himself as he looked back down, as annoying at the blonde was he sure was thankful to have him in his life.
"We'll as cute as this is we should get to the battlefield, seeing the war hero's standing tall will definitely bring the allied forces sprits up as they make there way home so we can began to rebuild." Kakashi said as he appeared before his students.
"Not sure I'll be viewed as a hero." Sasuke said in a sad tone, while he completely understands that his actions wouldn't be forgiven as quickly as Naruto was able to, he was nervous to see what laid ahead for him.
"We'll figure things out as we go. You do happen to personally know the hokage." Kakashi chuckled while pointing to him self.
The four stood and slowly made there way back to the battle field. Shinobi were every where, looking for there loved ones and friends, relief folding over them when they found them.
Naruto stood still for a moment collecting natural energy, once again slipping into sage mode. He searched for her signature, struggling at first but then finally he found her. With out a word to his friends he was off. She was sitting on a rock still ripping the twisted roots off her body. Rushing to her side Naruto grabbed the last of the roots and pulled it off.
"Oh, Naruto-kun. Thank you." The shy hyugan said looking away from him. "I'm so relieved you're okay."
"You're telling me. I was so worried about you, I felt you calling out to me. I'm sorry I couldn't come to you." Using his one arm Naruto helped her to her feet.
"N-Naruto-kun, your arm!" Hinatas eyes got big and the look of tears filled them.
Naruto chuckled. "I'm fine. What's important is we're all okay and the war is over."
"Hinata!"
Both Naruto and Hinata turned there head to see the rest of their friend group walking towards them, Kiba however was running in their direction.
"Hinata! You're alright! I was so worried." Kiba yelled as he embraced her.
Naruto felt annoyed, why was he so concerned and why did he have to touch her? He was sure steam was coming out of his ears this hug was going on much longer than it needed to.
Hinata giggled, snapping Naruto from his thoughts. Her giggle was a noise he wanted to hear more of. She gently pushed Kiba back "yes I'm okay, the rest of you are as well thank heavens." She said as the rest of the group meet up with them.
"Naruto, we'd like you to come and help lead us back to the leaf village." Kakashi called over, gesturing for him to follow.
Without much thought naruto took Hinatas hand and ran towards Kakashi, who was all standing with the other Kages.
"Naruto, thank you without you who knows what would be of the world." The Mizukage said as she bowed her head in respect.
"Yes Indeed." The tsuchikage agreed also bowing his head.
"I am very proud to call you my friend." Garra said as he also lower his head.
The Raikage said nothing but also bowed in respect.
Tsunade and Kakashi both looked over at Naruto and bowed there heads. Not used to this kind of attention Naruto nervously laughed, feeling Hinata drop his hand he looked over. She too was bowing down to him, all this was to show respect to his efforts.
