"Alright welcome to the new team, I am more than sure your skills will work well with each other." Kakashi said, even though he had his mask on Naruto could tell he was smiling.
Sai was appointed the new team lead his team consisted of naruto Sakura and Hinata.
"Your first mission starts in the morning. You will be heading to a few different small towns. They have been struggling to rebuild partly because of lack of resources and power. However because they keep fighting each other. You are there to help build and keep the peace." Shikamaru said.
"Keep the peace? So like babysit?" Naruto said somewhat annoyed.
"Well sort of. More so remind them of there goal to become stable instead of engaging in fighting." Shikamura said in his what a drag tone.
"You are dismissed." Kakashi said leaning back in his chair.
The four exited the room and went outside. "Alright, we will head out in 3 hours, go gather your things and I will see you then." Sai said as he began to walk away.
"Alright Naruto! Back to missions. Cha!" Sakura said. "It'll be fun being on a team with you Hinata."
"Yes thank you it will be fun." Hinata said.
"I still don't see why Sai is in charge!" Naruto who was annoyed said.
"Well he was in the anbu, but what ever the reason you better just listen!" Sakura said shaking her fist at him.
Hinata placed a hand on her fist, "don't worry everything will be great."
"Hn. Well I'm out here I need to get ready." Sakura ran off.
Naruto let out a sigh he was sure he was about to take a punch, but so thankful he didn't.
"Hinata, I'm really happy to have you on my team." He looked down at his beautiful girlfriend.
"Yes. It almost feels like a dream getting to be on your team." She smiled up at him.
Looking down at her face he caught a glimpse of the bruise on her face being reminded of the conversation they were having before being called to the hokages office. "Hinata, can I talk to your father about last night?"
She looked away from him. "I'd really rather you don't. He was actually scolding me when I tried to explain to him what happened is when he slapped me. I should have known better than to speak."
He could feel the blood in his veins boiling already, but he was doing everything he could to keep his anger in check. "Again I'm sorry. I'll do what I can to stay civil around him but someday I will need to speak to him about this."
She look very uncomfortable. She'd never had someone want to stand up for her, while it felt great that someone cared she also so nervous of her fathers reaction.
"Anyways, let's not let this consume our day. I'll walk you to your place so you can get what you need for your mission." Naruto grabbed her hand and they began to walk.
Naruto stood outside as he waited for Hinata to get her things.
Hinata was in her room, grabbing what she needed for her mission.
"So you're on his team now?" Hinabi was standing in the door way. "Your new mission gear got her. You should wear it." She tossed a package of clothes on the bed.
"The gear you picked out?" Hinata questioned her sister. She didn't know what her sister picked, however she could imagine.
"Well duh! Just put it on trust me Naruto will like it." She said laughing as she left closing the door.
Hinata opened the package looking over the outfit. 'Oh hinabi!' Shaking her head, she knew she might as well give in now her sister would be waiting outside her room and wouldn't let her leave without wearing the new gear.
Hinata closed her bag throwing it on her back and looked in the mirror before heading out.
"Oh I picked good for you!" Hinabi exclaimed, following her sister.
"I will admit it looks good." Hinata smiled. "I'll be gone a couple weeks or so on a mission." She walked out the gates of the compound.
"I'm heading out Ko, please let my father know I'm off on a mission." Hinata said she walked over to her stunned boyfriend.
Naruto could feel his eyes popping out of his head, almost like a cartoon character. Hinata was wearing a different outfit than usual. She had shorts on, showing off her very toned legs. Although she was a short person the length of her shorts gave her legs an appearance of being long. Her top was sleeveless also showing off her toned arms while also being tight to her curves, which she had a lot of. The color of her shirt was a pail lavender, almost the color of her eyes. A dark sash around her waist which showed off how tiny she was, overall she was a sight to behold.
"You look great." He said giving her another once over.
Hinata began to bump her index fingers together.
Placing an arm around her shoulders he pulled her in close, "let's go back to my place."
Her body burnt up. She could feel how red she was turning.
"Gotta get my things for the mission ya know." He said as he set the pace for the walk to his apartment.
Mentally slapping herself, of course we're going there to get his things get your mind out of the gutter!
Hinata sat in the kitchen on one of the bar stools as Naruto got what he needed. There was something about his place that once inside she just felt safe, happy, comfortable. She enjoyed being there. not even In her own room did she feel that way.
"That new mission gear really does look good on you." He said in his low husky tone which sent shivers up her arms. She looked over at him to see he too was wearing new mission gear. He was wearing a black jacket with a red band on his arm, along with his classic orange pants.
"I like you're new gear as well." She responded.
"Really? I feel like it's very plain." The blonde said rubbing the back of his head.
"No the black really make the blue of your eyes shine, the contrast is great."
The pair locked eyes, Hinata felt lost at sea staring into his ocean blue eyes.
*knock knock*
The pounding the door snapped the two back into reality.
"Naruto open up! Let's head to the mission!" Sakuras loud voice carried past the closed door.
