I stood there, staring at the ring portal. I wondered who I should bring along, as well as if any of my friends should come along too.
"Y'know, at least three of them could come along?" Sunky suggested.
I glanced back at everyone, one after another. I sighed, realizing how much of a mistake this could be.
"Blaze, Knuckles, and Rouge. They're good fighters." I said plainly. They stepped forward, standing next to us EXEs. "Also I'd like Soul Tails, Sanic, Tails Doll Lord X, and Majin to come along too. The rest of you can rest inside."
"So how is this gonna work?" Tails Doll asked?
"Simple: we go through the portal, and improvise once we get there." I replied.
"Wait, so you actually don't have a plan?" Lord X asked. I shook my head no, shifting into phase one.
"We're so screwed..." Knuckles commented.
"Thanks for having faith in me." I said sarcastically, walking through the portal. It transported me into the underworld, the place where demons and EXEs roam, just above hell itself. After the EXEs came through the portal, I waited for Knuckles, Blaze, and Rouge to come out as well. It took a minute, and Soul Robotnik doubted them, but they eventually came through. Rouge was shivering a bit from the decrease in temperature. It's usually a nice 56° in the underworld.
"So where to now...?" Knuckles asked.
"Nowhere and everywhere." I said monotonously. "There's never any indications on where you are. You kinda just walk around aimlessly, hoping to find what you're looking for."
"Well shit..." Knuckles spat.
"At least it isn't that cold..." Blaze commented.
"Try staying down here for like, forever. See how cold you get!" Soul Tails snapped.
"Calm down, arguing isn't going to get us anywhere." Lord X said, following my lead. I already started walking in a random direction. It took awhile, and it was kind of boring not doing anything except for walking. But alas, we made it to some giant crater in the floor.
"What's this?" Rouge asked.
"It's a Cyclops's blast. It must've been fighting." Lord X answered.
"A C-Cyclops?" Knuckles stuttered.
"Yes... Didn't I tell you I was a demon?" I questioned.
"Yeah, but I didn't expect other entities to exist too..."
I sighed, knowing bringing the three non-EXEs was such a mistake. However, nothing will get done if I keep repeating myself. I stepped into the crater, and knelt down to set my palm at the center.
"What's he doing?" Blaze asked.
"Scanning for other entities during this fight." Majin answered.
I stood up, looking back at the group.
"So?" Tails Doll asked.
"Fatal Error killed the Cyclops."
