My Secret

Confiding in the Trio

"Sonic... Why're we in a secluded area...? I don't like this..." Tails whimpered.

"Yeah Sonic. Just tell us what you want to tell us before we get mad." Knuckles warned.

I led Tails and Knuckles kind of deep into the forest nearby, hoping they'd react at least kind of fine when I confess my secret to them.

"Alright alright! Don't get antsy Knuckles." I took a deep breath. "You guys know demons exist, right?"

They both nodded.

"I'm one of them."

Tails looked half petrified, half unfazed, if that's a thing. Knuckles didn't buy it.

"Show us proof." He demanded.

I sighed. "Fine, but you can't attack OR tell anyone. Not yet."

"Fine, but why can't we attack?" Knuckles asked.

"Because then he'll get notified, and I don't wanna deal with him..."

Knuckles shook his head in acknowledgement, allow me to take over these series of events. I did what I do to turn into my demon form, Xenophanes. Not the Xenophanes "phase," only phase one.

Once I was done, Tails looked pale, and ready to faint. Knuckles was shocked, but managed to keep himself calm.

"This is certainly something..." He said after a good minute.

"Yeah, I know." I added. My exe voice startled the two, but after they saw my transformation, the voice didn't really move them much.

"Okay, but why tell us this?" Tails wondered.

"Because ever since I became an exe/demon, I've kept it a secret for many years. Since I was a child. I couldn't keep it in anymore, and I trusted you two the most." I explained.

"Sure, that's heartwarming, but there's still one question lingering. How are we supposed to keep this a secret until you're ready to tell the others?" Knuckles asked.

"I don't know... That's kind of up to you? If it helps, I can try changing the subject if it gets to that." Tails and Knuckles agreed to that.

"Sounds good, since I'm not known for keeping secrets..." Tails confessed.
