Decree 11
§1
(1) A Death Eater within the meaning of this law is any person who made a public appearance as a follower of Tom Marvolo Riddle (*31 Dec 1926, †02 May 1998) in the period from the 1950s to 02 May 1998.
(2) The term Death Eater in the sense of (1) includes all persons who bear what is known as the Dark Mark on their left forearm.
§2
Apart from §1, any other person who actively followed the orders of Tom Marvolo Riddle during the Battle of Hogwarts on 02 May 1998 is to be considered a Death Eater.
Decree 32
§1
The criminal offence described in the following paragraphs can only apply to individuals who are classified as Death Eaters as defined in Decree 11 MCL.
§2
(1) The prerequisite for the fulfilment of the criminal offence is the performance of an Unforgivable Curse.
(2) Unforgivable Curses are the Imperius Curse, the Cruciatus Curse and the Killing Curse.
§3
(1) The criminal offence is deemed to have been fulfilled if one of the curses listed in §2 (2) was cast during the period of followership as defined in Decree 11 §1 MCL.
(2) With reference to the night of 02 May 1998 (Battle of Hogwarts), the criminal offence is also deemed to have been fulfilled by the mere attempt to cast one of the curses listed in §2 (2).
Decree 75
The fulfilment of the criminal offence described in Decree 32 MCL inevitably leads to a prison sentence of ten years in Azkaban.
