Meredith Grey
It's a Friday night and the power is out, to top it off I'm at the Shepherd's tonight because it's supposed to storm all night into tomorrow afternoon. So now i'm sitting their living room with Amelia, Derek, and Mark with candles all around us and in every room that will be usedI didn't know they had so many candles but here we are.
"Where did your parents go?" I ask Derek.
"Their room" he says.
"Derek are you going to have a surprise sibling?" Mark asks.
"I sure hope not, they are in their fifties" he sighs.
"That doesn't mean they can't have a little action" he smirks.
"Mark no- just stop" Derek sighs.
"So, anyone wanna play cards?" Amelia asks.
"Sure" I nod.
"Why not?" Mark shrugs.
"I guess" Derek says.
"Okay, I'll go get a deck of cards" she says getting up.
"We should just play the game where you have a card and you have to like breath in so it sticks on your lips and we have to go around and if you drop the card while trying to pass it to someone you have to kiss them" Mark says as Amelia walks back in.
"I'm in as long as I'm not next to Derek" Amelia says moving to sit in between Mark and Meredith.
"Okay" I say.
"If I end up kissing Mark Sloan tonight, I'm going to straight to bed" Derek says.
"Okay, well I'll start then go to Mark, Mark will go to Derek, and Derek will go to Meredith, if nobody drops it we win" Amelia says holding the card in between her index and middle finger.
"Hit us" Mark says licking his lips for it to be easier to stick I guess.
"I'm going now" Amelia says.
She puts the card to her lips and sucks in so it sticks. She passes it to Mark who passes it to Derek.
Derek turns over to me and we get closer when he quickly drops the card and our lips touch. That little fucker sneaking the smallest amount of touch. I'm not complaining though.
"Game over" Mark says.
"So close, you guys messed up" she laughs.
"I had it but the it fell" Derek says.
"We saw" Mark chuckles.
"Clearly you saw" I giggle.
"Derek how does it feel to have slightly kisses your childhood crush" Mark says making Derek shoot a glare over in his direction.
"It was for a game guys" he rolls his eyes.
He has done way more then just 'slightly kissed' me many many times has he done way more.
"It still happened" Amelia shrugs.
"It was nothing" he says.
More thunder and lighting flashed. "I think we should call it a night, it's getting pretty bad outside" I say.
"Yeah" Derek says walking over to the door to stand outside.
"Does he do that a lot?" I ask.
"Watch the storm, all the time" Amelia says.
"Does he ever say why?" I ask.
"He says he finds peace and quietness in it" Mark shrugs as we all get up.
"Oh well, goodnight" I smile.
"Night" Mark says going to the stairs.
"Goodnight, are you heading to bed?" Amelia asks.
"I'm just going to get some water before bed" I say.
"Go outside I'm sure there's plenty" Mark chuckles.
"So funny" I roll my eyes as the disappear up the stairs.
Instead of going to get water like I said would, I went to join Derek outside. "Hi" he says watching the rain peacefully.
"Hey" I say wrapping my arms around him.
"There's no cars at all tonight" he says as I set my head on his shoulder.
"Yeah, it's storming really badly and there is a flood warning" I say.
"I'm just saying, it gives me an idea" he says.
"Oh yeah?" I ask.
"Yeah" he nods.
"What is this idea?" I ask.
"Just come on" he says grabbing my hand and taking us out into the rain.
"Derek" I laugh as he leads us to the road.
"Just lay down" he grins laying down himself.
I shake my head before laying down next to him. "Now what?" I as.
"Now, we either think about something or talk to each other, but not for long because it's a little cold" he says.
"I think we should go in now because it's a lot cold" I say.
"Okay, okay get up" he says standing up.
I get up to and he pulls me close and presses his lips against mine. We make out for a little before we pull away.
"That was better than the small thing that I wouldn't even call a kiss" I smile.
"I agree" he grins.
"Let's go inside" I say.
"Let's" he nods and we run back to the house now soaking wet, but we had smiles on our faces.
Do I love him? Or is it too early to tell?
