"Oliver Christopher Shepherd!" I laugh at my six year old son.

"Daddy do you think I funny too?" he asks Derek with giggles.

"Oh yes you are very silly" Derek chuckles at him.

"I think Emmy thinks I'm silly too" he grins proudly as his two year old sister giggles at him clapping her hands as she sits on the floor.

"I think she does" I agree pick her up and I tickle her belly making her laugh even more.

"I think she is silly too" he giggles at her before he kisses the top of her head.

"Do you love Emmy?" Derek asks him as he sits down on Derek's lap playing with a car.

"Yeah she is so little and adorable and she thinks I'm silly" he smiles as he plays with his car making it drive all over Derek's face.

"I think she loves you too" I say setting her down and she walks over to Oliver and Derek slowly.

"Wanna play cars with me Emmy?" he asks.

"Car?" she asks.

"Yeah, you can have the bigger car so you can't put it in your mouth because you are still a baby and you can choke" he says, he is such a great big brother.

"No baby, me big girl" she frowns.

"Oh yeah I'm sorry you are a big girl" he says kissing the top of her head and she smiles with her finger in her mouth.

"How is school buddy?" I ask as he hands Emmy the car he was looking for.

"Good can I have Kenny and Ian over for my birthday?" he smiles.

"Of course you can buddy" Derek smiles.

"What about Addy?" I ask.

"I uh Addy is not my friend mommy" he says his cheeks turning pink.

"She not?" I ask and Derek look at each other with small smiles.

"No she's my girlfriend mommy and I have to hang out with my girlfriend in private because Kenny likes Addy" he says.

"Do you kiss?" Derek asks.

"No daddy that's yucky" he sticks his tongue out in disgust.

"Mommy used to be my girlfriend and we kissed all the time" he says looking up at me and I kiss his lips with a grin.

"Now what is she?" he asks.

"My wife bud" he chuckles.

"I want Addy to be my wife" he frowns.

"You should ask her to marry you" I say.

"Yeah?" he asks.

"Yeah you two can get married in class and make Kenny jealous" Derek chuckles.

"Do we got to kiss?" he asks.

"That's what you do at weddings bud" I say.

"Can I just kiss her cheek?" he asks.

"Yeah you can just kiss her cheek" Derek says as Emmy walks over to him and sits in between his legs.

Oliver did just that the next day he came home from school and started to tell Derek and I all about it. "She said yes?" we asked.

"Yep I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me with one of those rings from a cereal box" he nods.

"Did you guys have a big wedding?" I ask rocking Emmy in my arms.

"Yeah we had bridesmaids and groomsmen, even a priest that's what Mrs.Smith did she was the priest she said" he shrugs.

"Did you kiss her?" Derek asks.

"Yeah on her cheek" he smiles proudly.

"Was Kenny jealous?" Derek asks.

"I don't know" he shrugs.

"Probably was" Derek says putting his fist out for a fist bump.

"When do we get to meet her?" I ask with a giggle.

"What? never mommy you'll embarrass me" he says.

"Oh I won't" I roll my eyes.

"You are not going to meet her" he crosses his arms.

"Come here" Derek says.

He slowly walks over to him and Derek grabs him and starts tickling him. "Daddy!" he giggles.

"Can we meet her?" he asks.

"Yes yes you can daddy you can" he says and Derek stops tickling him.

"We love you Oli" we say.

"I love you guys too I guess, but I love Emmy more" he says walking over to me kissing Emmy's head.

This is all I could ever ask for in life. I have a loving husband. Two beautiful children. I would never guess this would be my life nine years ago but here I am. This family is just perfect and it all started because I dated the little boy who has loved me his whole life.
