Chapter 15

Marinette's POV :

I woke up as the sun was rising and birds were chirping. I sat up and looked around. We didn't get back last night. I look down to find Tim sleeping soundly.

I play with his hair for a while, until he finally wakes up.

Marinette : Good morning sleepy head...

Tim : Good morning Love...

Marinette : I wish I didn't have to cut this short, but I have to leave for the airport in three hours...

He wraps his arms around my waist.

Tim : Do you think I could fit into your suitcase?

Marinette : I wish you could...

We stand up and pick up the blankets and snacks we had brought with us before going back to the car and driving to my apartment. Once we get there, I finish packing up and put my bags in the boot of the car. He drives me to the airport and I check myself in.

Marinette : I have to go through the security check...

Tim : Yeah...

He hugs me tightly and I feel myself tearing up. The last straw was when he kissed me afterwards... The kiss quickly tasted salty and when we separated for air, he wiped the tears from my cheeks.

Marinette : I-I don't want to go...

Tim : I'll visit whenever I get the chance and, if it's ever too much, you can always use the horse miraculous and message me to meet up... I'm sure Kaalki wouldn't mind.

Marinette : You know I can't just use it for no good reason!

Tim : Your mental health is a good reason, so if you feel down or really bad, just come over... Please?

Marinette : We'll see...

I hug him one last time before I go through the security check. I get to my gate and go straight to the plane. There, I pull out my phone and send him a message.

I put my phone on airplane mode and put my headphones on.

°Time skip°

I listen to music throughout the flight while looking out the window. Tears were still running down my cheeks when I spotted Paris.

Once the plane has landed, I get my bags and meet my parents at the arrivals area.

I spot Papa first and run up to him.

Papa : There's my girl!

Marinette : I missed you.

Papa looks at me.

Papa : Have you been crying?

Marinette : I - umm... No! Not at all!

Papa : Don't lie.
