Falling

Chapter 20

Marinette's POV :

On Sunday, we spent most of the day together. My parents love Tim. They really do. Papa has taken to calling him son!

They were so sad when he had to leave for the "Airport", asking him to stay longer or to come back as soon as possible. I walked him to an alleyway, where we shared one last kiss before he transformed and opened a portal back to Gotham.

When I got back, maman was waiting for me in the sitting room and Papa was out getting a few things.

Maman : I hope his flight goes well.

Marinette : I hope so too. I miss him already...

Maman : I hope we'll see him again very soon. He's such a sweetheart!

Marinette : Yeah... He really is...

Maman : Oh! By the way! I made an appointment with an OBGYN for you.

Marinette : Why?

Maman : So you can go on the pill of course. I don't want to be a grandma for another few years. Your appointment is tomorrow. Do you want me to come with you?

Marinette : Ummm... Okay then. Could you drop me off? And what time is it at?

Maman : It's at six pm.

Marinette : Thank you. Now, if you excuse me, I have a commission to finish.

Maman : Right! I'll call you when dinner is ready.

I go upstairs and close my trapdoor behind me.

I finished the special pocket on Tim's suit and embroidered a small message onto the  bottom of the sleeve with thin golden thread.

"To my favorite coffee addict... 💛"

Once finished, I put the suit away and place the items in the box they will be shipped in before going downstairs for dinner.

°Time skip°

The next few days were hard.

Chloe has been making my life hell. She's beaten me up a few times, but not as badly as last time. Tim has been making sure I'm doing okay through all of it, calling me during breaks or cuddling when he came over for patrol.

Chat on the other hand has been trying to get me on my own for a repeat of last time, but Phooka now patrols with us. Chat has been trying to intimidate him with every chance he gets, but it doesn't work. Tim and I usually patrol the same area. We try to keep the flirting minimal in front of Chat, but it's hard and we sometimes slip up. Well... I slip up. Tim does it on purpose to make Chat mad. It's kind of funny to watch them, but then I remember what chat did and get scared for Tim.

What if Chat snaps? I don't want to lose my boyfriend to a psychopath with the power of destruction!

It's now mid-october and it's out last week before the two week long break. My friends left early for lunch and I'm stuck in the same room as Chloe.

Chloe : Maritrash, meet me behind the school after the final bell.

Marinette : No.

Chloe : What did you just say?

Marinette : I said no. I'm sick of you bullying me! I get that you get frustrated, but newsflash, everybody does! You never saw me beating up people because Adrien ignored me! I don't even get why you're targeting me! I don't like him in that way anymore! I have a boyfriend I love more than I ever loved myself! So stop being a spoiled brat and get a life!
