𝐒𝐍𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐄𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐃 𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐎𝐍, the Miller girl shot Mr Remmy an unsympathetic smile before finding a seat at the back, behind her twin brother. "And where have you been, Miss Miller?" He asked as she put her jacket on the back of the chair.
"I had a little chat with Headmaster Charleston." She answered, and technically it wasn't a lie. She did have a chat with Charleston, but that was an hour ago, and it was more of a greeting than a chat. She was actually late because she hadn't quite finished her sandwich when the bell rang.
"And how long was this little chat?" He asked and Mary rolled her eyes at the man, "What was it about? When did it start?" He began to interrogate the girl and she let out a small laugh. "Is this funny to you?"
"No, I'm just confused," she replied, making Mr Remmy tilted his head, "Since when was Charleston and I's chats any of your concern?" She asked and the teacher shook his head, "Quite long, about me, and it started around when break ended." She listed her answers and gave him no reason to complain about her.
"Less of the attitude, please." He told the pink-haired girl as another student walked through the door. Mary looked up to see Tristan with a note in his hand; he was obviously more prepared than she was. "Ah, Mr Dugray."
Tristan passed the teacher the note that was in his hand before looking around the classroom, "Sir." He replied with a small nod as he spotted Mary at the back.
"Nice to have you back." Mr Remmy commented as he looked at the blue note. Mary held in a laugh when she saw Louise twirling her hair at the Dugray boy. "I hope your grandfather's better." Mr Remmy read from the note.
"Much better, sir." Tristan nodded and Mr Remmy told him to take his seat. Tristan walked past the new girl and raised his eyebrows before taking his seat next to Mary at the back. "Who's that?" Tristan asked the boy in front of him as Mary rolled her eyes and got out the book she was currently reading.
"New girl." The brunette boy replied and Tristan made an O shape with his mouth. Mary leaned back in her chair as Michael turned to his sister with a confused expression.
"Where were you?" He asked his twin sister as she turned the page of her book. Mary simply ignored the boy's question and continued to read her copy of The Virgin Suicide. "Bugs..." Mike whispered, "Where were you?" He repeated, making her sigh irritatedly.
