"Ugh Stephanie can you help me"
Today was my date night with Ryker the first one of many. It should've been two weeks ago but he was busy getting the cassette tape to my dad. But this one is special knowing that we would make it official that we were dating. It felt surreal how quickly you can catch feelings for someone, I mean look at Stephanie and Vinny they were dating just like Ryker and I but they made it official a few days ago.
"Cami you look great! I don't know why your fussing" she said coming over to help with my hair
"I know I just this is a special night for me" I said looking at her "even though Ryker and I are dating this is we're we leave the unofficial behind and become boyfriend and girlfriend officially and I just want tonight to go perfect cause it's also our first date ever" I said
"I know but I promise it will be great" she said smiling "I mean look how happy Vinny and I are, I am sure you and Ryker are going to be perfectly fine" she said
I smiled at her "you and Vinny are great together" I said "I can't wait to see you guys at prom together" I said
Stephanie smiled at me a sad smile "I don't know if Vinny and I will last till Prom Cami" she said sighing
I looked at her confused "what do you mean? You guys are the definition of opposites attract" I said "what happened?" I asked
Stephanie walked away from me and grabbed her purse and pulled something out then sat down on my bed looking down at her lap while clutching what she was holding, I walked over and sat next to her "what's wrong Steph?" I asked concerned "you can talk to me"
She looked up at me and passed me what she was holding, I looked down and saw a pregnancy test and two perfectly pink lines. I looked up at with wide eyes "your pregnant" I said "how long?" I asked
"Two weeks" she said sniffling "it's around the same time Vinny and I hooked up the one night" she said
"Why didn't you say anything?" I asked her
"I only just figured out a week ago, and I didn't know how you would react" she said softly "I didn't want you to judge me"
"Stephanie" I sighed "I would never judge you especially for this, this is an important thing and I'm glad you told me. No matter what I would never judge you, and whatever you decide to do I am here for you supporting you through everything, whether you keep the baby or don't I will be here" I told her
"Thank you for everything Cami" she said teary eyed as she gave me a hug, "Are you gonna tell Vinny?" I asked her as I pulled back from the hug
She sighed "I want to but I don't know how he's going to react" she said "and now with the band almost getting the record deal, it's putting everything in jeopardy"
I nodded understanding her reasoning "I get it, but he has to know I mean you will never know until you tell him" I said "but if you want me to be there for when you tell him I will be"
She nodded "can you and Ryker be there, Ryker is his best friend after all and if he gets mad then maybe he can calm him down" she said
I nodded "yeah, but I mean do you want me to tell Ryker or you?" I questioned "since it is your news"
"You can tell him, I have to figure out how I am going to speak to Vinny about this" she said looking at the pregnancy test I handed back to her
"I think everything will be okay, just take it step by step" I said smiling
