Chapter Eleven

Third Person POV
"Let's Go Raiders! Let's Go!"

Camila cheered alongside her cheer friends as the game continued, they were in the fourth quarter with only thirty seconds left on the clock. This is the moment that makes or breaks Grant High school. And the moment that defines Matt Williams as the next great quarterback of his high school.

As Matt catches the football and lands the touchdown on the field the clock rings, and the crowd erupts in cheers. Camila smiles and cheers alongside Stephanie, this was the first time in 10 years since Grant High has won a football championship. Camila couldn't help but feel happy for her ex, she knew this was what he wanted for a long time, and now he has it.

Looking up into the crowds she spots Ryker and Vinny cheering along with the crowd. Ryker looks down and sees the love of his life looking at him with a smile, he smiles back and winks at her, he couldn't wait to start his life with her once they left this school.

"I got to hand it to the jocks, they played amazing!" Vinny said excitedly "and who knew the class of 88' would be the ones to break the curse!" he smiled

Ryker laughed at Vinny and his excitement as they walked down from the bleachers. Tonight, was an amazing night, and as much as Ryker didn't like Matt he had to agree with Vinny that Matt and his jock friends did a great job in bringing home the trophy.

As Ryker and Vinny waited for their girlfriends outside in the school parking lot to go to Camila's house for a small hang-out, Camila and Stephanie walked out over to them immediately.

"Did you guys see that win?!" Stephanie squealed

"Well I was more focused on your dance performance and this cheer uniform you have on," Vinny told her smirking, Stephanie shoved him playfully "well maybe you'll get what is underneath this" she smirked back

"All right you two, get a room," Camila said smiling at them, "you guys have plenty of time to do that" she smirked

As they chatted outside for a little longer, Matt and his friends walked out of the school. Matt looked over and noticed Camila and Stephanie with Ryker and Vinny. Though he just won the championship, he felt his anger get the best of him as he saw the girl of his dreams hug and kiss the freak, she left him for.

As if in slow motion Matt got his gun out of his bag and began to walk over to them, no one noticed when he pulled out the gun. As Matt approached them, he pointed the gun at Ryker's back.

A gunshot then rang out in the middle of the parking lot, everyone screamed and ran to take cover as the gunshots continued.

"Camila!" Ryker yelled as he felt her fall against him "you son of a bitch!" He yelled at Matt as he stood in front of them with a look of fear.

Ryker and Stephanie held Camila as she bled through her clothes, Matt looked down and felt his blood run cold. Seeing the love of his life bleeding out because of him made him sick, he began to back up and ran away from the scene as he heard the police sirens.

"Oh fuck no!" Vinny said as he saw Matt running, he then began to run after him, for not being into running or athletic, Vinny tackled him before he could get far and held him there until the police came.

As the sirens got closer, Ryker and Stephanie were making sure to hold down where Camila got shot. "Ryker" Camila whimpered in pain "I don't want to die" she whispered

"You're going to be okay baby, I promise," Ryker said as tears rolled down his face "I am not letting you go"

Once the ambulance got to the scene the paramedics rushed to where Camila was laying with Ryker and Stephanie. As they put her on the gurney and rushed her to the inside of the ambulance Ryker made sure to follow suit and get on the ambulance with her.
