Something jumped up and down on my chest, making it hard to breathe.

"Wake up daddy!" A small, but angry voice called out, pulling me out of sleep.

"Five more minutes," I groaned, stretching out.

"No! I'll tell your mother you are skipping school!" the voice called out.

"No, please. Not my mom." I said sarcastically.

"I'm calling!"

I then soon felt a phone press against my ear. Two rings and then a click.

"Hello? Buddy? Is something wrong? Did Brian already fail a quest? I'm gonna have to owe his father ten bucks!" Mom's voice said.

'Oh shit!' I thought. I grabbed the phone. "Hi?" I said, sitting up in bed, trying to sound awake.

"Oh, hey Brian! How are you?" My mom asked.

"Um, I'm fine! You?"

"Good, you doing okay?"

"Yeah! Um, I gotta go to class though, now! He! Uh, bye mom!" I hung up. I looked at Buddy, snickering.

"Lol!" Buddy said.

"Shut up, you have class too!" I said, quickly getting clothes on. I grabbed Buddy and brushed his hair hard.

"Ouch!" Buddy whined. "Stop it! That hurts!" Buddy pushed away, with tick marks.

"No! You are grounded!" I ordered.

"You're not my father!" Buddy screamed, biting my hand. I didn't let go.

"Buddy! I, am, your father!" I said, holding Buddy down and continued to brush his hair.

"This is animal cruelty!" Buddy said.

"You're a teddy bear!" I growled.

"This is stupid, you're stupid!" Buddy shouted. I took him to the kitchen. Then Buddy made a mad dash towards the counter. He grabbed and threw the toaster at me, which bashed me in the face and my nose started to bleed. "I'm going to class now! Bye daddy, love you!" He blew me a kiss. I held my nose in anger and disbelief. I sighed, grabbing a napkin before getting prepared myself.

I walked out of my dorm and turned left, heading down the hall. I walked down a set of stairs and walked down a longer hall. When I came to an intersection, I heard a yell of surprise as I felt someone ram me in the side, sending both of us at the wall. The wall cracked and had a hole from my foot. I looked to see a dude laying on my leg, a skateboard at his feet.

"Ugh, sorry about that dude," he said and offered me a hand. He got a look at my face and smiled. "You're that new bro, right? Bryan?"

"With an 'I'. As in bri-in and not bri-yan." I said. I took his hand "And you are?"

"Name's Gordon Coolimorso" he responded, helping me up. "Again, sorry about that! I should be more careful!" He only had one last name, which seemed weird. I disregarded my curiosity about it.

"It's fine!" I said with a smile. "I needed to wake up anyway!" I stretched and heard my spine crack. "Ah!" I said, turning my neck to feel more comfortable. Gordon had yellow eyes and brown hair. He had a red hat with a blue wand on it twisted to the side a bit. He wore black jeans and a dark green T-shirt.

"So, where ya going?" Gordon asked.

"I'm heading to Miss Flarius Flamia," I answered.

"Oh, alright, I guess I'll see you then, I gotta go see Mr. Pyrimis Mythister, I'll see you on the flip side!" He gave me a wave and burst off on his board, wall riding along the way. I walked toward my class.
