The symbol I was born with,
My key to life.
You are what makes me,
The royalty I am.
Written after my given name,
Worn on my necklace day after day,
I honor you as I can,
Though many think nothing of you.
I'm called 'strange' and 'weird',
For praising you the way I do.
But Echelon blessed me with your metals,
So don you, I shall do.
Who Are We? (4/30/2014)
As human beings,
Who are we to damper rights?
On wearing a ring,
Or loving a person.
Who are we to say 'no'?
To walking down the blessed isle,
Or celebrating a union.
Who are we to dub unlawful?
The rights a man and woman bear,
Or woman and woman?
Man and man?
Who are we to keep apart love?

I don't mind the rain,
it washes away the pain.
I don't mind the rain,
it can clean your wounds,
and seal your cuts.
I don't mind the rain,
it clears the terrible thoughts,
it rinses all the bad touches away.

So don't be a victim.

Who's been left in the storm.

So reach out to the others.

Basketball+Excitement (4/23/2014)
Excitement is the winning basket,
at the end of a close game.
It's the power put into a shot,
that could start a career.
Excitement is the crowd's cheer,
when the star player arrives.
Not Who You See (4/21/2014)
We are not who we pretend to be,
Because on the outside, I am not me.
No, I am not who you see.
The life we live is not our own,
Because we fail ourselves to hon.
And deep inside is our true self,
Only accompanied by bone.
We are not raised by mothers and fathers,
Because she or he is not the one who bothers.
We raise ourselves in the end,
When we lay on our last bed.

Have you ever noticed,
That throughout your life,
Things are hard,
Until you get your last 'farewell' card?
People say they love living,
When it just leads to death.
We try too hard,
When in the end,
We inevitably fail.
