They pray when they're sad.
They pray when they're mad.
When they feel empty,
Or remember a bad memory.
They may feel hurt,
Or have a broken heart,
But church is not therapy,
And God is not a therapist.

Fix all of my problems?
How can one person
With a piece of signed paper
Expect to heal my wounds?

And I count the bricks
In my locked room.
I make silly wishes,
And sing to a song
Without a tune.
Because I've been waiting
And still, here I am.
Just another girl,
Left without a kiss.

But my friends are angels,
