Your Mind (5/7/2014)
If I could step into your mind,
What would I find?
Are you thinking of me?
Is reading your thoughts the key?
It's for you that I yearn,
It's you I must learn,
So I hope and I pray,
That you won't turn me away.
Here Tonight (5/7/2014)
I want to live open and free,
Darling, I want you here.
I need you next to me,
So come closer, dear.
To my own heart I must be true,
And I need you here tonight.
I must say, I love you.
Stay with me in the moonlight.
Being Ourselves (5/7/2014)
I, being myself,
Do things a bit different than everyone else.
I don't follow a pattern,
Or 'go with the flow'.
I'd much rather be me,
For that is the only person I can truly be.
You may be you,
That much is true.
And I love you as I do,
Because you are yourself.
And that is all we may truly do,
I must be me, and you must be you.
Kingdom (5/6/2014)
Falling is the blood,
From my wrist to the mud.
My soul has been trapped,
By another's wrath.
Hidden away,
Forced to stay,
My heart in arrest,
This pain is a theft,
Of my dear sweet freedom.
I'm imprisoned in my own kingdom.
Politics (5/5/2014)
These things we do
For power.
To their hearts, politicians are not true.
