A.N: The next chapter I'll be doing tomorrow is a song requested by a reader. I can't do it today because of fatigue. This is a cover on the song by Annapatsu, note this song's lyrics have been changed to match the songfic.

After the war with White Star there was a disturbing amount of peace in the newly named Roan Empire, Cale know it was only was matter a time before the 'Hunters' came, but until then Cale chose to rest.

He reminisced on the Life of a Slacker he'd dream since he first woke up as the minor villain in the novel he'd read before falling asleep.

Alas however peace was never meant to last, Cale, oh the ever suicidal bastard discovered yet another Ancient Power!

'The Voice of the Lost Ruler'

This one he kept a secret, because he actually found that one by chance... that and he had just balanced his plate not to long ago.

Cale's family would commit arson if they found out he decided to tempt fate again.

But Cale didn't mean too... he was searching through the library that was gifted to him by Lady Sheritt.

The dragon lord had an extensive number of books of all kinds for her own Commons. Afterall only the best for her two children....

Cale naturally moved the Library into the villa where his whole family had chosen to stay at.

He made sure to read to Raon, On, and Hong everyday and together they devoured books day after day, so naturally Cale had to find some more so as he searched he found a book in particular that caught his eyes.

Smooth lettering read:

'My songstress of Sorrow'

...

In Korean.

Cale was shocked to see his native language in a book that was kept by a former Dragon Lord.

So he read it all of it... and that book was not meant to be near children.

It was a violent retelling of a princess of a fallen kingdom, being turned into a slave after her kingdom was conquered by a corrupt Empire.

If the book didn't specifically a retelling he'd most likely give a 5-star read, but it wasn't, and that fact made his stomach turn.

Thankfully the story ended in a sort-of happy ending, the princess made a code of her own using her songs, with that she managed to give the Rebellions happening all around the country information to defeat the Empire.

It was much easier since the Emperor (A sniveling creep) loved parading her around because of her beauty and voice.

In the end the Empire was destroyed... but the Princess was killed in the middle of the war.

She was unable to see the freedom she gifted her people, and died a painful death.

It was true trategy.

Cale considered the princess to be worthy of the title of hero

_So you're my new Master?_

Cale nearly jumped 2 feet in the air as he heard the soft female voice.

"Princess?"

No answer.

It stayed like that for a while.

It was obvious his new Ancient Power was not comfortable with Cale, so Cale let her be.

That was until a certain invitation from the recently crowned Emperor of the Raon Empire.
