The assignment was easy enough.
As Choi Han, Rosalyn, and Lock all walked into biggest enterprise of the 'red-light district' as Choi Han dubbed it, they all found themselves waiting to be disgusted and disturbed.
According to Mercenary King, sightings of the White Star had been rumored to be occurring in the unsavory establishment.
And as to pay back the numerous favors from both him and the crown prince they had been charged with investigating.
The place was rather clean looking but looked a little too much like a love hotel for anyone to get comfortable, despite the rather cushy furnishings.
The smell of expensive alcohols and smoke hung heavy and impenetrable.
This establishment had been running for years, they could tell.
No amount of cleaning and scrubbing from the germaphobe torture expert would ever make the place lose its foreboding scent of despair and drug abuse.
"I still think we should have left Lock behind, he's still a minor."
It was a light-hearted joke that was partially true, but both her and Choi Han knew Lock would find a way to follow them regardless of his age.
"Not happening, noona." Spoke the topic of the sentence himself.
Rosalyn sighed.
"It was a worth a try."
Choi Han and Lock wrinkled their noses the agitating smells making them regret having strong senses.
"This is recon right?"
"Yes, if the rumors do prove to be factual, I expect you to hold your sword in its sheathe."
...
The silence spoke volumes of Choi Han's standing on the orders given to him.
"Hyung, I hate him too, but dying before completing our revenge is a pointless endeavor."
Choi Han gritted his teeth, but he kept his hands on his lap, far away from his sword.
The men and women all giggled and spoke words bubbling from their mouths like glistening bubbles in their expensive champagne.
Rosalyn stared at her on glass of wine, giving it a smooth swirl and sniffing the aged liquid in appreciation.
She was playing her part of the haughty noblewomen quite well.
Unlike Choi Han who felt his eyes water at strong smell from the glass.
Lock was glad for the dimmed lights of the bar, or they'd probably would stick out like a sore thumb.
The bar's name glowed in pink lights.
'The Ivory Constellation'
It could just be a coincidence, but the poetic name was just a fancy way of saying a white star.
"Do you think they'll be performing today?" Asked a lady that appeared to be in her twenty's, a gold mask clinging tackily to her features.
Another man scoffed, in his fifty's at best.
"They better be, they tripled the entry price." He spoke.
A chorus of perverted giggles came from someone who'd just reached adulthood.
"Ah, yes my bloody star~"
Another women joined in the whispering.
"Yours? Young man everyone knows that even the Ivory Star himself can't claim ownership of the Crimson Constellation."
