Trust the devil.

"Chief can I talk to you for a minute?" Mill asked bringing in Lucifer to his office.

"Oh i see you've met the rookie already I was just going to talk to you both about your case together..it'll be her first case and I want you to supervise it." The chief said smiling.

"No, she won't have a first case it'll instead be my case to handle. This girl isn't who she says she is, she can't be trusted to work at the precinct."  Mill said seriously.

"What are you going on about?" The chief asked.

" yeah? what do you mean detective mill? I showed the chief my diploma and I deserve to be here as much as you do I graduated my police academy and I'm finally going to be a detective here and working my first case, it's exciting." Lucifer said jumping up and down happily.

" detective mill, I thought you'd be happy to finally be supporting a new detective at the precinct.. it's always been your dream, I thought this is what you wanted..that's why I put you as a supervisor..for the case..so why are you being like this?" The chief asked.

" I don't trust Lucifer.. when I was going down to the property room, I saw her searching for something.. she said that you sent her down..even though she isn't even supposed to be there. Everybody knows that rookies don't go down to the property room..it's always handled by the head detective which is me..so I don't understand."
Mill said all worked up.

" OK detective mill calm down is this true Lucifer..." the chief said concerned.

"So he didn't send you down..I knew it, what were you doing in the property room?" Detective mill asked.

" fine I can't believe you don't remember chief.. you did send me down there you wanted to see the murder weapon yourself, you told me that you were worried it would go missing..because lately a lot of evidence from the property room had been disappearing so you asked me to help because the head detective wasn't available." Lucifer said convincing the chief with her powers.

The chief nodded, " I am so sorry for suspecting you Lucifer. Now that you mention it  I did send you down to the property room because I was worried about the evidence being missing."

" I am really sorry for the misunderstanding detective mill, you weren't available at the time and I needed to make sure that the evidence was still there in the property room so i asked her to go down and check, I mainly trusted her because she's good friends with one of the best detectives that work here..so I knew I could count on her." The chief said smiling.

"What? But chief all the evidence have been stored safely in the property room and the room is  always locked, evidence has never been missing from the property room, what are you talking about? Why would you even be worried? Did this woman put thoughts in your head? What did you do to the chief..? He's never like this." Mill said noticing something different about the chief.

" detective mill please stop this behavior towards your coworker.  You both have to get along since you two  will be working on a case together I need you to trust me okay? And learn to trust Lucifer, you two will be working together in many cases in the future I can't have you two fighting, you are not children anymore this is your job learn to be more mature." The chief said sighing.

" I guess you're just going to have to trust me detective mill, but that might seem a little hard for you considering how you're treating me right now."

"Ugh whatever." Detective mill rolled her eyes.
