why?

Lucifer did stay on earth to continue the job at the precinct, but as much as she liked being a detective it really didn't seem like the job for her. Besides she really only got that job anyways to get the knife back but now that the knife was restored in heaven finally, she didn't need to continue to work there, despite her conversation with Detective Mill about staying on earth to continue her job there.

The real reason, was obviously because of Detective Mill. Lucifer found herself falling for mill but strangely she felt shy opening up or even being honest with detective mill about the real reason she decided to stay on earth for a little while.

this was unlike Lucifer and she even felt some changes with herself after realizing the way she felt about detective mill.

Maybe the detective, knows the way Lucifer feels about her, or maybe not. There's no telling what they both feel after that kiss at lucifers apartment. Does it mean something or was it just a kiss in the moment.

Lucifer couldn't really tell and usually she would be able to.

She was always confident in knowing what she wanted from anyone, heck she always got what she wanted. Her name is lucifer, she is literally the devil, everything would go her way.

Lucifer would easily know what anyone is thinking but for detective mill, she never understood why she couldn't read the detective.

Or why her powers didn't work on the detective. It worked fine on everyone else except her.

There had to be a reason.

There was something special about the detective, something that left Lucifer super curious.

And the main reason why Lucifer stayed on earth to figure out why everything is so different with the detective but the same with everyone else.

Then, there it was, someone ringing at Lucifer's door bell, she answered the door and it was none other than the detective, it was a bit strange and awkward knowing that they shared a kiss last night, what were they gonna talk about, were they even gonna talk about it?

" hey, I hope you don't mind that I'm just dropping by like this but I was worried. You didn't come into work today so I thought I'd come over and see if everything was Okay." Detective said smiling.

She seemed kinder, different than her usual self, things had really changed after their talk, and especially after the kiss.

" well it's fine and I appreciate you stopping by like this but there was no reason to I didn't come to work today because I quit my job.. I already called the chief and told him about it I thought he'd talk to you or the others about me not being there anymore and I guess he didn't so now you know." Lucifer said laughing a bit awkwardly.

" oh but after the talk we had last night.. I thought you were staying to continue the job.. at the precinct, I didn't know you had other plans to stay on earth." Mill said smiling slightly.

" Well last night was something, I don't really remember but I'm sure I just made rash decisions about all the wrong reasons for staying on earth. I am still staying on earth but just not to work anymore as a detective. I don't think that job is the right job for me, but I do think I should get a job I heard that humans have to pay rent and so that's the only way I can afford to stay in this apartment.." Lucifer said sighing.

"oh I totally get it. Well if you need my help I can always help you get a job I mean I know a bunch of really cool places that might need some employees right now and maybe we can do that after I get off of work?" Mill said excitedly.

"Oh that would be great I'm really thankful to have somebody like you. You know? you're a real lifesaver otherwise I don't know how I would stay in this really sweet apartment of mine I'm getting used to it and I don't wanna have to move out because I don't have a job..I didn't know being a human is that hard..." Lucifer looked at the detective who was standing by the door way.

"it's okay I'm glad I can be here for you Lucifer anytime you need me, Well it's getting pretty late so I think I should head off to work now but I'll see you after work cool?"

"Yeah cool cool." Lucifer said smiling.

Lucifer  watched as her hot crush, detective mill leave for a work.

"See you then.." she mumbled under her breath before closing the door.
