The silver haired male froze, reading the message. Regardless of who the sender was, he didn't want to jump into conclusions.
Though he had no other options.
He tightened the grip on the phone, clenching his jaw. His heart almost skipped a bit, after taking a look at the short sentence again.
The traitor is right before you.
Manjirou switched his gaze from a gadget to a woman, standing a few meters away from him. She looked curious of what the message could contain, although she probably figured it out.
He couldn't believe his eyes, no, he in fact didn't want to. The sender had to be mistaken, could they mean someone else? Did the real traitor sneak in the building and watch those two over from afar?
Mikey placed his cold palm on his chest, near the area of where the heart was. He squeezed the fabric of the silky shirt, feeling his soul tighten more and more.
His heart was aching, because he didn't expect such a twist. And as he got lost deeper in his thoughts, the more the darkness would surround him.
Moments later he swiftly pulled out a gun, aiming at the girl. She was frightened, though the reason to his actions was obvious and really simple.
"Mikey..."
"Shut up."
She bit her lower lip, as he harshly silenced her. That's where she knew, that they reached the point of no return.
"Are you really a traitor? I need honest answers only." He raised his voice, as his hand shook with a weapon in the fist.
"Let me expla-"
Before she could finish, he already pulled the trigger. Y/n closed her eyes, mentally preparing herself for a brief death, though the pain wasn't coming to her body. Was it the afterlife already? The fear of unknown and unexpected took over her, not letting to do anything at all.
Then, she finally opened her eyes, only to see that he shot the area on the floor near her leg. The woman gasped, realizing that she fortunately escaped death this time. She couldn't find the courage to face the man, who looked the scariest to her right now.
And it hurt her a lot, since she knew that he was back to his old self. His old self, who would try to kill her every time she would slightly misbehave, more than 10 years ago.
She clenched her fists, noticing how they were trembling in horror as well, and soon enough, the h/c woman finally looked up at Mikey.
The darkness, that reigned around the abandoned room, was bringing the woman terror. Her eyes first roamed around the objects there — the musty board, which supposedly seemed to be ripped out from a table, was covered in spiderwebs. Lots of ceiling pieces were scattered around this area, making a person create noises after stomping them.
Five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell and one thing you can taste.
Unfortunately, she couldn't name any of these sensations, as her mind wandered around the terrifying man, who she loved.
When her eyes finally met his, her heart skipped a beat. The jet black eyes, that belonged to her partner, have lost its final colors, making them seem even more lifeless than before. They would often spark around her, but now they reflected the space.
But without stars in it.
She was his star. His moon, to be precise.
How come she couldn't manage to light his soul up by her simple presence?
