Hopeless reticence filled the room, as the only sounds that could be heard at the moment were shallow breaths from a couple.

Any other extraneous rustles would make them quickly switch their attention to the object, and then look back as swiftly as well.

Y/n felt the tears well up in her eyes. Maybe the pregnancy affected her a little too hard, though if you put yourself in her shoes, you would act the same.

Imagine having to fight your lover? Or how should we call him right now?

"It's too late, Y/n." Mikey said, sadly chuckling. " We already started it." He knew what kind of situation he put himself into, and he had to face the consequences.

"Then let's just stop it?" Y/n scoffed. Her lower lip trembled, the voice got quieter with each second. She was slowly losing strength as well, her stamina was running out, even though she could have lasted longer in a normal condition.

Manjirou gave her a weird look. "So how do you imagine it? We happily come back, and I tell everyone that my ex future wife turned out to be the one who destroyed my life?"

Her eyes widened at the three words he said. Ex future wife? Was he already breaking things off with her?

"Why are you blaming me for something I didn't do?!" Y/n found energy in her body to talk back to the man.

"Oh, really? You try to make me look bad now? Yuka told me-"

"Yuka told you this, Yuka told you that." Y/n laughed, as her eyes glistened in sorrow. "You blindly listen to all her words, but have you ever tried to believe me, too?"

The pain in her voice made Manjirou's heart ache. Though he was slowly losing himself in the darkness that shrouded him, the girl in front of him slightly managed to guide him out of it by giving simple responses. Mikey could have guessed how the woman felt, but in this race he chose to listen to his thoughts first.

"But have you tried listening to me, Y/n?" Mikey's voice cracked. He only realized what happened, when his face was suddenly warm.

Tears.

He was crying.

"I promised you that we would live happily after I deal with your parents, but you assumed some bullshit and pushed me away!" He lowered his eyes to the gun he was holding. Cold metal weapon felt so heavy in his hand. He used his remaining one to wipe some of the tears resting on his face.

Y/n quietly listened to him ranting about the past. She, too, wanted to let her emotions and struggles out, and now she was waiting for the right moment to it.

"Do you even know how hard it was for me to live without you?" He asked, sniffing.

Her heart clenched at his words. She was also suffering a lot, and that wasn't helping her the slightest. Their frustrations were locked in the dark path of their own memories and feelings for too long.

"I wanted to spend every day of my life with you. But I knew it was impossible,

because we always got torn apart!"

The silver haired man quietly sobbed, as the thought of him looking weak in front of the woman he loved made him suppress other emotions again. He was locking them up in the dull core of his soul.

"It is really dangerous to fall for someone as a delinquent, as a leader of a big gang, since the enemies would do anything to destroy your image... That's why I would push you away from time to time, and I'm sorry I didn't succeed in at least saving you." He was on verge of tearing up again, as his chest slightly shook. He was running out of air, he had to gasp for it.
