Laura POV
(4 months later)
I woke up. The sun shine through my window, blinding me for a matter of seconds in the process. I pulled myself to a standing position, and wondered to the bathroom to shower. It feels weird without Ross here. He always gets in the shower with me. I miss his strong muscular arms around me when I sleep. He's been gone 4 months now. It killed me at first, but I guess I've grown to it. I've had Rydel and Stormie take me to the scans, I'd send them to Ross, and he would FaceTime me, saying he misses me.
I'm fat. Let's say that. I've got quite a stomach on me at the moment. It's really awkward to walk around with. My mum and my sister are excited for the baby. I'm not seeing much of them lately because mum is on a work experience thing, and Vanessa is on a tour thing with Switched At Birth. They are not meant to be back, until after the due date, which is a bummer for me. I'm meant to be going to my scan tomorrow with Rydel, to find out the gender... Shame that it's not Ross... I miss him so much.
I walk downstairs, and see Rydel on the phone with tears down her face.
Laura: you alright Rydel?
Rydel: one second Laura.
She snuffled.
Rydel: yes? Oh yes that is Laura Marano. You would like to tell her? Ok. I'll pass you over, one second.
Rydel passed me the phone. I gently put it to my ear.
Laura: hello
???: is this Miss Laura Marano?
Laura: yes it is
????: and you are known to Mr uh Ross lynch.
Laura: yes. What's happened?
I'm not liking the sound of this.
???: well my name is Sargent Dubsck. And I'm in charge of Battalion 7c.
Laura: and that's the battalion my fiancé Ross is in.
Dubsck: yes indeed. I'm just here to inform you about some details. About Ross.
Laura: what's happened to him.
Dubsck: well this morning, during battle, Ross was hit by an enemy rifle in the leg, and was down to the floor in seconds
Laura: is he o-
Dubsck: he had a trained medical soldier on his team to treat him immediately.
Laura: he is ok though.
Dubsck: I'm sorry but he died an hour ago
I cried on the phone.
Dubsck: I'm so sorry for your loss.
Laura: ok thanks
Dubsck: no problem. I'm so sorry.
Laura: goodbye
As soon as the phone went down, I cried. I miss my Rossy! My heart is broken. My fiancé is gone, I was meant to get married in 3 months, now I can't. I'm going to be a single mother. I cried into Rydel's arms and she cried too.
Rydel POV
Poor Laura, I can't believe it. She is gonna g-
