Hotch received the text. He stood behind Garcia in her office, watching her work quickly to figure out where the text had pinged off towers.
"We should look into Alex's life some more. Maybe we can get a lead through it," Hotch said.
"I've tried to get Mrs. Jones to send more information. She's not responding to me," Garcia replied as she typed quickly. "Got it!"
Hotch leaned in a little.
"They're a couple of hours out. We need to go get them," he said. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "Thank you, Garcia," he added as he walked out quickly.

Alex hoped the little light from the phone wouldn't be seen or noticed. He was trying his best to stay hidden. It was hard with Rossi there. Alex was fighting the urge to give himself up. He just wanted to go home and find Jack. Or find Jack then go home. He hadn't figured out which one he would do first yet.
The rest of the room had gone silent.
He should've noticed it right away. Alex looked up. Bobby stood over him.
"There you are," he said.
Alex got to his feet quickly, ready to fight. Bobby just smiled. He thought he was quicker than Alex. He lunged for his arm, but Alex backed himself further into the corner as soon as he saw his hand move. When Bobby lunged again, Alex struck him in the knees with his foot. Bobby fell to the ground in pain.
Alex ran to Rossi, who had begun yelling at them not to hurt Alex. Alex tried to untie him, but the knots wouldn't budge and he had lost his pocket knife ages ago.
"I can't get the knot undone," Alex said.
"Don't worry about me. Worry about getting the hell out of here," Rossi replied.
Danny grabbed Alex by the shoulder. "You're a slippery one," he said.
Alex squirmed in his grasp. "Let me go," he ground out.
Danny smiled. "Not a chance."
Alex stopped moving in his grasp. Danny pulled him towards the steps. Alex let himself be dragged.
"If you hurt him I swear you'll regret it," Rossi said.
"Don't worry about Alex. Just worry about yourself," Danny said as he carried Alex up the stairs.
Rossi watched as they went. He heard the door click shut and then Bobby laughing behind him.
"We finally did it," he said. "We got Alex Rider."
"Keep his name out of your mouth," Rossi demanded.

Alex could see the car pulling into the driveway. He stood near the window. He could see out but if someone looked up into his they wouldn't see him.
The black SUV pulled to a stop. There was another one close behind it with some police cars following. Everyone piled out quickly.
It was the team.
Alex took a step closer to the window. He wanted them to see him now. Have them know where to look.

Morgan busted the door down. He could head Rossi yelling at the unsubs from the basement. Otherwise the house was silent. Morgan started towards the basement. Prentiss was behind him.
Reid was on his way up the stairs with Hotch behind him.
Morgan tried the basement door. It was locked. He kicked the door down and started going down the stairs. Rossi had stopped yelling.
"Rossi, are you alright?" Morgan asked.
"Oh he'll be just fine," a man said from behind him. Morgan twisted around with his gun pointing at the man.
"Put your guns down. Put them down or he gets it," the man said. He had Rossi bound and gagged beside him with a gun pointed into Rossi's side.
Morgan did as he was told. He could see Prentiss behind the man with her gun pointed right at him.
The man turned quickly and hit Prentiss over the head with his gun, knocking her to the ground.
"I need the boy. If you can get him down here I'll let your agents go," the man said.
Morgan grabbed his gun and walked towards the stairs.
"Leave the gun," the man demanded.
"You don't need three guns," Morgan replied. He walked back up the stairs and closed the door.

Alex heard the doorknob jiggle. Thinking it could be the men again, he quickly found a hiding spot only he would think to look in. There was a big wardrobe in the corner. Alex ran to it and quickly opened the door. He closed it just as the other door was busted open. Through the cracks he'd left for himself, he could see the agents come in.
"Alex, it's Reid. You're going to be alright. Where are you?" Reid said.
Alex put a hand on the door to wardrobe just as someone else burst in.
"You need to leave. You have no right to be here," Danny said. He was going right up to Reid. Alex tensed, ready to pounce if he could.
"Mr. Johnson, you're under arrest for the kidnapping of a minor and a federal agent," Hotch said.
"I'm not going back to jail," Danny said.
"Where's Alex? If you let him go we can make a deal," Hotch replied.
"He's in the room somewhere. All the windows are sealed so he can't open any and the doors been locked the whole time he's been in here," Danny responded.
Danny was standing in front of the wardrobe. If Alex did this right, he could knock him down with the door.
"Where exactly is Alex? I won't ask again," Hotch demanded.
Danny took two steps back. Right where Alex needed him.
As quickly and as hard as he could, Alex swung the wardrobe door open. He hit Danny's head and the man swung around just as Alex threw a right hook. Danny fell to the ground.
"Thanks for the distraction," Alex said.
Reid smiled. "I'm glad you're okay."
"We can thank Rossi for that. Where is he?" Alex asked.
"Down in the basement," Hotch said.
The small smile fell from Alex's face. He ran towards the door and past the agents.
When he reached the basement door, Morgan stopped him.
"Alex, we can't let you down there. They want you to go down. It's a trap," Morgan said.
Alex glared at him. "I can do it. I can get him out."
"What's going on?" Hotch asked.
"The unsub has Rossi and Prentiss down there. He wants Alex in exchange for them. We can't let him go down there," Morgan said.
Alex thought for a moment. "Cut off all the power to the house. We need to make the basement as dark as possible for this to work."
