"Does it feel anything special when you shoot?" asks Jungkook to Taehyung.
"Just that your arm hurts a little. In the series it looks much easier" mumbles the model, both sitting on the balcony of the apartment. They woke up at the same time from a very bad dream, "but overall it's not that strange. I guess it would be more complicated with big guns."
"That they always say it hurts, so it wouldn't be a lie" Jungkook laughs wrinkling his nose and swinging his legs. He looks down, finding some hoards trying to jump grab them. It's not a tall building, so it's not much of a distance. "Did you have a nightmare?"
"Yeah. I guess you did too."
"I have them all the time." Jungkook rests his chin on his arm, leaning back against the bent, rusted metal. "I'm a little afraid to sleep because of it. I also feel very tired."
"It's the same for me," corresponds Taehyung. "I don't know why my mind won't shut off. I thought that was easy. I used to do it. I would fall like dead weight to bed after concerts, after practice, but my imagination decided to go wild or something" he comments looking up at the cloudy sky. Soon it will start to snow. There's a faint stench of it. "And it's always the same horrible dream. Even asleep I can't even be in a nice place with everyone I care about and want to see."
Jungkook is silent for a while. He lets out a breath, pressing his cheek into his arm.
"I miss my mom... My brother... My family." he pouts, hiding part of his face. "I miss my life." he whispers plaintively. Taehyung pulls back, leaning against the nearby wall. "And I always dream about it. It's the same all the time."
"When we're with Jimin, when we're all together again it's going to get better. Everything good that happens to us, it's because we've been together. That's why bad things keep happening to us," Taehyung mutters and Jungkook looks at him. "I know he's okay. Or at least he's alive. Which is the most we can ask for right now."
"You don't agree that we're taking so long to go get him do you?"
"Of course not."
"I thought you thought me over the top like the others."
"You're so explosive," Taehyung scolds. "I wish you had been like that when we were texting or calling you. You seemed like nothing mattered to you. "Jungkook wrinkles his nose and laughs, "But I do think you're right about that. I know Namjoon wants to rush us. Jin is the one being annoying about it."
"He wants to take care of us, I think," Jungkook says scratching his head. "Just" He lets out a breath. "I just wish this would settle and we wouldn't have to worry anymore."
"You ask for too much." taunts Taehyung.
"It's a nice dream." The younger one defends himself.
They remain silent for several minutes. The sun begins to rise and dispels the occasional cloud from the sky. Jungkook yawns, he is sleepy, very tired from too little sleep. Taehyung nods with Yeontan leaning on his leg, dozing. Jungkook stretches and goes to lie down from Taehyung.
"Do you think we can trust this person we helped?"
"No."
"Ummm..."
"We can't trust anyone else but ourselves," replies Taehyung with his eyes closed. "Just us. We'll be what we'll have from here until we grow old. These people... they're strange. There's something about them I don't like."
"I don't either, but I don't know what it is. We have to tell the others. Especially Hoseok. He has a lot of faith in them."
"Hobi is like that. He likes to trust a little more."
