Adley's POV
I've been looking at our security system all night to see if I can find the warlock that hurt uncle Magnus but nothing. I start to fall asleep on the desk but someone touches my shoulder and it wakes me up. I turn around and it's mom and dad looking worried.
"How long have you been looking?" Dad asks me "All night" I admit and they give me a stern look. "I know but I need to help uncle Magnus. He's done so much for me lately and I need to give back to him."
"He loves you for that but I'm sure he would also like for you to get some rest." Mom tells me and I sigh and get up from the desk. "Alright fine, I'll get some sleep. Let me know on any updates please." I give in "We will" Mom says as she puts her hand on my arm and I go to my room and crash right away in my bed.
Clary's POV
"I love her heart for this but I just hope this doesn't put more stress on her. She's been through so much lately." I say to him and Jace grabs my hand.
"Me too, we'll just have to watch out for her." Jace tells me and Magnus comes over to us.
"Hey, what's going on?" He asks us and I look at him. "Adley was trying to find who hurt you all night. She'll stop at nothing to find them." I inform him and he smiles.
"Your daughter truly has a heart of gold. I'll tell her I appreciate it but I can find them by myself without her getting hurt. This warlock is strong, I can tell." Magnus helps us
"Yeah you know she won't stop once she starts." Jace reminds him "I know but I'll try to stop her." Magnus says
I hope he can because I don't want my daughter to get hurt. She's already been through so much. I just wish I could get her world to quiet down for her, just once and hold her forever. Never let her go
