Adley's POV
I go to uncle Alec's office to see any updates on the warlock and as soon as I knock on his door he says. "Come in Adley" That surprised me, I walk in and close the door.
"How did you know it was me?" I ask him "I had a feeling, I know you well. I have a feeling as well on why you are here. Well, I think I found a lead on where that warlock is. Get your gear ready and come with me. I'll get Jace too" Uncle Alec informs me and I feel a big relief and I can tell he has a relief too. I get ready and dad, uncle Alec and I go find him.
The warlock is staying in a fancy hotel covered in gold and black walls.
"Well which room is he in?" Dad asks uncle Alec "This way" He answers and we follow him into the top floor and I use the unlock rune and it's more of an apartment than a hotel room because it's that big.
"Alexander Lightwood/Bane, I was wondering when you'd show up." The warlock tells him and uses his magic to push him against the wall. I use the heightened speed rune to go up to the warlock and put my sword around his throat. "Adley Herondale, I've heard so much about the powerful young Shadowhunter. Who will do anything to fight for her family's safety." Dad helps uncle Alec up.
"Exactly, so you must know that I'm about to say this. Leave them alone, you're not just hurting my uncle Magnus you're hurting everyone who cares about him." I demand him
"Just like both your parents. Protective of the one's you love." The warlock tells me and I grab the cuffs and quickly put them on him.
"By the order of the clave you are under arrest." Uncle Alec tells him and I push the warlock to him so he grabs onto him tight.
"What a sweet family this is." The warlock tells us and we roll our eyes and start walking back to the institute.
"Nice work" Dad tells me and puts his arm around me. "It was nothing" I say confidently and he has a big smile so I smile back at him.
Now let's figure out what this warlock wants.
