Clary's POV
As we walk back upstairs I catch Adley and hold her hand.
"Honey are you ok?" I ask her and her eyes are shaky. "I'm fine" Sometimes she's a terrible liar.
"Adley, Magnus appreciates you doing that for him and all but he doesn't want you to get hurt. None of us want you to get hurt. If you stayed there longer something would've happen to you. Your anger would have taken control over you. Hey, just look at me and take a deep breath, in and out." I help her and she does exactly that and I can feel her shake less.
"Ad's, everything's going to be ok. Your uncle Magnus has fought worse than him. He's fought terrible demons in his past too. Just stay safe during this." Jace tells her and she nods with a breath.
"Yeah I know, I'm sorry I just hate seeing someone get to his weak side so easily. I umm, I think I'm just going to go for walk outside, cool down." Adley says and hugs us. "That's a great idea" I rub her back and Isabelle comes up to us.
"Hey sweetie, you alright?" She asks Adley "Yeah, I will be" Adley replies and hugs Izzy and goes outside.
"What's going on with her?" Izzy asks us "She met the person that hurt Magnus." I inform her lightly and she starts to get it.
"Ohhhh, yeah that makes sense. Adley was being protective wasn't she?" Izzy asks "Oh yeah, she almost got hurt this time so we got her away from the situation." Jace answers her and him and I look at each other with worried eyes.
"She'll be fine" Jace assures me and puts his arm around me and kisses my forehead.
I know it's just our daughter gets so protective she forgets to protect herself at times too. Sometimes she just goes out of control.
