Part 35(Calm before the storm)

The scene starts from karan and aashi's engagement, where they were exchanging rings and the family and relatives were clapping for them...Naira and keerti went to look after the preparations once...kartik too followed them as he didn't wanted to stay away from naira...

KEERTI:(teasing them) kya kartik
..ek min bhi apni naira ke bina nhi reh skta tu...mujhe nhi pta tha mera bhai itna pyar krta h tumse..
(To naira) tum jao uske sath, mein naksh ke sath jaa kr sb check kr aati hu...

Naira nodded and blushed as she went...she turned to kartik, who was looking worried...

NAIRA:(cupping his face) kya hua kartik...tum thik ho naa baby..

KARTIK:(hugging her) hnn..hnn.. vo bss ese hi..tum plss mere pas rho jaan...(resting his head on her shoulder)

Naira took him in a room nearby and hugged him tightly...he snuggled into her, recalling his dream...naira understood that he's still scared...

NAIRA:(caressing his hair and back) bss bachaa...relax..mein tumhare pas hi hu naa..I'll never leave u alone in any situation... saare negative thoughts ko apne mnn se nikaal do...calm down kartik..(kissing his forehead and cheeks) I'll always be there for u... pkka promise..

KARTIK:(kissing her forehead) i trust u naira...mnn mei boht ajeeb thoughts aa rhe h..jese kuch hone wala h...i just want u beside me plss..(cupping her face and capturing her lips for a kiss)

Naira caressed his back, reciprocating the kiss...kartik kept on sucking and chewing her lips till no end...naira broke the kiss after sometime, feeling breathless
...she hugged him, snuggling into his chest and assuring him that nothing will happen...he nodded and they went out to attend the ceremony...

SWARNA:(side hugging naira) vese yeh diamond earrings toh boht sundr h...kartik ne gift kiye..
(she nodded and blushed) hmesha khush rho...bhagwaan tum dono ko har situation mei sath rkhe...(kissing her forehead) jbse tum aayi ho hmare ghar mei, sb kuch acha ho rha h...we r very lucky ki tum kartik ki life mei aayi..(caressing her face)

NAIRA:(smiling) lucky toh mein hu jo mujhe itni achi family mili... thankuu maa..mujhe mumma ki tarah pyar krne ke liye...

Swarna smiled and they both sat down as everyone performed dances one by one...kartik and naira too gave a performance...
After the function, all the guests departed while the family members were sitting in the hall chatting for a while...

DADI:(smiling) aaj ka function toh ache se ho gya...ab shaadi toh ek mahine baad h..kya socha h kaha krna h shaadi ka function...

AASHI:(tiredly) abhi toh kuch nhi socha dadi...pr koi destination wedding hi hogi..

AASHI MOM:(grateful) aap sb ka boht boht dhanyawaad...aapne meri beti ke liye itna kuch kiya... especially naira aur kartik ne..

NAIRA:(smiling) kesi baat kr rhi h aap aunty...aap bhi toh family hi ho..congratulations karan and aashi..

KARTIK:(to karan) all the best bro
..tujhe mili bhi toh kon...yeh jhalli hi...(laughing)

All chuckled, while aashi hit kartik lightly...After sometime, they all went to sleep as it was late...naira changed her clothes and went to dadi's room...

DADI:(holding her head, sitting on the bed) arey...naira tum..beta tum yaha..itni raat ko...

NAIRA:(Sitting beside her) very bad hnn dadi...aapka head ache ho rha tha aur aapne mujhe btaya bhi nhi...(helping her to lay down) mein aapka sar dbba deti hu... aapko acha lgega..

DADI:(holding her hand) beta... rhne do..hum so jayenge toh thik ho jayega...tum jao jaa kr araam kro...kal se engagement ki taiyaari mei lggi ho..kittu bhi intezaar kr rha hoga...

NAIRA:(pressing her head) it's okk dadi...mein thodi der baad chli jaungi...aap rest kro..

Naira started massaging her head and arms, relaxing her...dadi smiled looking at her, blessing her and praying for them...

DADI:(caressing her face) god bless u beta...bhagwaan tumhe aur kittu ko duniya ki saari khushiyan de...ab jao..jaa kr rest kro...tum bhi toh thak gyi ho..

Naira kissed her forehead, wishing her goodnight and went switching off the light...she went to her room and saw kartik trying to sleep...his back was facing her... she locked the door and backhugged him, laying on the bed...kartik turned to her and hugged her tightly...naira caressed his back, snuggling into his chest...

At night, kartik again woke up due to the nightmare...he was shivering and sobbing in sleep, hugging naira...

NAIRA:(half laying and pulling him in her embrace) shh...shh.. bss..bss kartik...calm down..relax.. sb thik h...kuch nhi hua..tumhari naira h naa tumhare sath...calm down baby...mein yhi hu tumhare pas..(Rubbing his back and caressing his hair)

Kartik calmed down and slept again...naira was very much worried for him...she slept hugging him, caressing his face...

Next day, karan and aashi went back along with her parents...A month passed by...kartik's fear was increasing day by day...naira consulted a counselor too..he suggested some exercises and good music to keep him stress free...kartik knew naira was tensed for him...he didn't wanted to bother her with his fear, so he started hiding it from her...he tried to show infront of her that he's fine, but naira knew he wasn't...he would still get wierd nightmares at night...naira was always there to calm him and put him back to sleep...

The family members too sensed something different in kartik's behavior...but they always made up an excuse...Karan and aashi's wedding was over now...One day, naira was waiting for kartik to return as it was late...swarna and manish came down and saw her sitting in the hall, waiting for kartik...

MANISH:(to naira) beta tum khaana toh khaa lo...kartik bhi pta nhi itna late kese ho gya...ab tkk toh aa jaana chahiye tha use..

SWARNA:(worriedly) manish jii... 12 bjj gye h...aap manager se puchiye naa plss..itna kya kaam h raat tkk..

Manish nodded and took out his phone to call, but then naira saw kartik coming...the manager had held him as he had various injuries...they were shocked to see kartik in such a condition...he was crying silently murmuring "mene kuch nhi kiya"...
