AT THE AIRPORT:
Incheon International Airport, known as the largest and one of the most beautiful airports in Asia, is hustling and bustling at this time. People from different walks of life and nationalities are everywhere. Everyone is wearing a mask and is almost covered because of the COVID situation that is still not over. It's noisy and crowded. It is like this every day, except today is like no other. Something is bound to happen unexpectedly.
Lisa: Ugh! Where's my passport?! *silently talks to herself in dismay because she cannot find it. While walking hurriedly, she searches for her bag without looking at folks around.* Damn! There you go! *She uttered. Some people looked at her when she said those words.* She almost hit someone who passed by on her left side.
Jennie: Look at where you are walking, please. *She uttered while walking on Lisa's side. She did not even look at her.*
Lisa: Sorry, Miss! *Then she watches Jennie leave.* Oh, that smell! It's Chanel again. *
*Meanwhile, Jennie proceeds to the entrance. She is a bit excited and, at the same time, sad because all the memories of her childhood are in that rest house in Thailand. On the other hand, Lisa followed her in line and boarded the plane. Little did they know, they'd be sitting side by side.*
ON THE PLANE:
Jennie: Hi! You were the one I met earlier. Can we switch seats, please? *Looks at Lisa while waiting for an affirmative answer.*
Lisa: Oh yeah, sure. I am sorry about earlier. I panicked because I thought I had lost my passport. *She stands up and lets Jennie take the window seat.*
Jennie: It's okay. We are even now. Thank you for switching seats with me. *She happily takes the seat and opens the window to get a good view. Lisa, on the other hand, sits beside her.*
Lisa: It's almost evening. There's nothing to see when we are up there. It's dark. *She said randomly while putting her phone on airplane mode.
Jennie: I know, but the lights are a good view when you are up there. I love it. *She looks at Lisa. Though her entire face is not seen, she's smiling.*
Lisa: You could say that. But it's all dark out there when it's just the sea and the air. *She rebutted.*
Jennie: I know; I still love it, though. *She puts her phone on airplane mode and sits comfortably.*
Lisa: By the way, you are using Chanel perfume. *She has been trying to sniff in secretly while talking to her. She likes it.*
Jennie: It is. How did you know that? Uh. Wrong question. Do you like Chanel, too?
Lisa: Uhm. Just recently, when I was in the elevator, I smelled that perfume, and then today again. It's stuck here. *She points at her nose while laughing.*
Jennie: Wait?! Were you that girl on the elevator of Centerbiold? *She asked in surprise.*
Lisa: And you were that girl wearing that perfume? *She responded enthusiastically in her voice as soon as she confirmed it was her.*
Jennie: Omg! It's you! Hahaha. Hey, I am Jennie. *She stares at Lisa while trying to have a handshake.*
Lisa: Yes, it's me! I was in a hurry at that time. I noticed you, oh, but I saw more of your smell. You smell great! *She suddenly uttered after the confirmation of their meeting at the elevator.*
*The conversation went on from perfume to work to personal life. It's as if they have known each other for years in those almost seven hours of flight. When they boarded off, they decided to have dinner at the Tower Club at Lebua. It's where Lisa is staying. She invited her to her room, but Jennie was already in a rush. Her Aunt is waiting for her.*
Lisa: Are you sure you are going to take a cab? I can drive you home. My car is just on the fourth floor. *She offered so they could have more time together. She felt so comfortable with her around. She figured Jennie felt the same because she would disagree with her invitation if she did not feel the same. That's what she thought.*
Jennie: You are a lawyer, not my driver. Remember? But I do appreciate the offer. Thanks, Attorney! *I would love to spend more time with you, but my Aunt has been texting me for hours now. She's waiting. She cannot leave the house without me.*
Lisa: Alright, but can I at least walk you outside, Miss CEO? If you do not mind? *She smiled at her.*
Jennie: Of course! *She grabs Lisa's hand and walks with her.*
*And for a moment, the world stops again. Lisa feels she's holding on to something she does not want to let go of, and it has been a while since she last felt that feeling about someone. Jennie, on the other hand, feels elated. It's as if she just met someone she would cling to all her life.*
Lisa: Here's the cab, Miss CEO. After you. *She opens the car door and puts Jennie's luggage at the back.*Jennie: Thank you, Attorney. I had fun! Thanks to you! *She said while smiling at Lisa. She shut the door and opened the window.* I will not forget this day! Thanks to you!
Lisa: Thanks to you, too! It had fun! *She said while smiling at Jennie. She waved goodbye until she could not see her anymore.
IN THE HOTEL ROOM:
Lisa sees an unfamiliar cardigan. She looked at it, and she knew right away it was Jennie's. The perfume's stuck in the cardigan. She has no idea why but she takes it to her bed. After a few minutes, she fell asleep thinking about why she had not even gotten her name and number. All she knows is that she's a CEO, and they work in the same building.
IN THE CAB:
Jennie suddenly realized that she had left her cardigan in the hotel. "Ugh. I forgot to get her name and number. How come??? We have been talking for hours! Aish!" she uttered while smiling because what they did today flashbacked.
The two souls that had crossed each other's path today drifted into their own space, but little did they know in their dreams, it was them.*
