It was 6:43 in the morning when Rosie woke up. The loud sound from the continuous ringing of her doorbell woke her up. "Aisssshhh! It's the weekend! Who the hell on earth are you???" she uttered while looking at the alarm clock on her side table. She got out of bed as fast as possible to brush her teeth and tried putting on some face cream to look fresh. She also sprayed some mist to smell good. "Ughh! I do not meet people with this look. Ssssshhhh." She puffs some air while putting on a coat and walking towards the door. She was stunned even to speak when she opened the door.
Lisa: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROSIE POSIE!!!!! *she is carrying a box of cake, and someone is holding the flowers and balloons behind her.*
Roseanne: Lisayyyyaaaaaa! My gosh! What the hell are you doing here? You are supposed to be in Thailand! *she had a very hectic schedule since Lisa left. She even forgot about her birthday.* Why didn't you even call me?? *pats Lisa's arms*
Lisa: Oops! *holds the box firmly* I know. We're leaving tomorrow, though. I just wanted to surprise you! *all smiles while moving beside Jennie.* I found her! *widens her smile even more when showing Jennie to her best friend*
Roseanne: Jennie?! Jennie Ruby Jane Kim?? *she was even more surprised when she saw her* I am glad to meet you finally!
Jennie: Happy Birthday, Attorney Park! *shows her gummy smile. She has heard so much about Lisa's best friend, and she's glad she has finally met her.*
Roseanne: Thank you so much! My gosh! You two! Come in! *lets the two walk inside her loft* You could have phoned me so I could prepare something. *fixes some things on the table inside the living room. She worked late and almost fell asleep in the living room.*
Jennie: Lisa wanted to surprise you, that is why. Flowers for you, Attorney! *hands Rosie the flowers they bought fresh from Thailand*
Roseanne: Thanks again, Jennie. *smiles at here* By the way, how did you even get here? Did you use a private plane? *suddenly realizes that she'd find out if Lisa is coming back. She would know all the flight and confidential information because she'd receive them first.* Lisa?? *raises her eyebrows*
Lisa: Hehe *awkward laugh* Wait. Please do not get mad at me. Listen to me first. *sits down beside Jennie, who is just listening to their conversation*
Roseanne: I know that laugh. Make sure you have a valid reason, or we are dead again. *opens the box of cake and brings out some small plates so they can share*
Lisa: Yes, I used a private plane to come here. It's just me and hon... I mean Jennie. *gulps and looks at Jennie, who seemed shocked by what she just heard* I know that I am not allowed to use this *shows the key pass*, but YOU mentioned that I can for valid reasons. Do you remember that? *looks at Rosie and tries to make her remember their agreement three years ago*
Roseanne: Uggh! Stop! *mildly slaps Lisa's head* Valid reason means an emergency; a matter of life and death. Not like this.*
Lisa: But it is your birthday. You do not even have a boyfriend to celebrate it in the first place. It's just me and now with Jennie! Hahaha! *winks at Jennie and slaps Rosie's legs*
Jennie: Hahaha! You guys are so cute! *she now wholly understands the bond between Lisa and Attorney Park*
Roseanne: By the way, Jennie, please do not call me Attorney Park. *feels shy but continues munching on the cake they brought for her* Call me Rosie. We are at my house—no need to be formal. *laughs* I just met your sister a few days ago. I think you already know something. Did Lisa mention something to you?
