Jisoo, Jennie's eldest sister, handles everything their parents have left them. Jennie was still very young when their mom died. Their father's untimely death almost a year ago with no justice left is something that she knows Jennie has difficulties handling. She understands her sister's misery. She has to be strong for her only sister.
ON THE PHONE:
Jisoo: Hello! Yes, this is Ms. Kim Jisoo speaking. May I know who's on the line? *stops reading some papers on her desk when the phone rings*
Roseanne: Good day! This is Attorney Park from Hanbada Lawfirm. I am calling about your father's case. It is crucial. I cannot share it on the phone. Can I talk to you personally, Ms. Kim? *calls her on the phone while sending some emails to Lisa. She found information about the Chanel Girl who works in the same building. She thought to herself that Lisa was going to be surprised about the information she had just gathered.*
Jisoo: Oh. *suddenly feels lost for words, and her hands tremble* I am available right now. Can we meet at the coffee shop downstairs?
Roseanne: Alright, Ms. Kim. I will be there in five minutes. *rushes to fix her things right after hanging up. It is her first time meeting her. She feels nervous.*
Jisoo: See you, then. *hangs up the phone. She suddenly feels sad just at the thought of her Dad but also hopeful that there is some good news on the way.*
AT THE COFFE SHOP:
Roseanne: Hi, Ms. Kim. I do not know what you prefer, but I already ordered café americano. I hope that's okay with you. Have a seat. *points at the chair and fixes the cup of coffee for Jisoo. She also notices the lingering smell of Jisoo's perfume*
Jisoo: Hello, Attorney Park. This coffee is okay with me. It's my favorite. *smiles at her* Please, let's not be formal with each other. I bet we are of the same age. Just call me Jisoo.
Roseanne: I am sorry. *laughs not to feel awkward* It is my first time meeting you, and I did not know you were this gorgeous. I have only seen you in photos. *keeps staring at Jisoo, and she has no idea why she said that. It just came out of her mouth.*
Jisoo: Haha! Really? You find me gorgeous? Wait until you see my sister in person. *winks at Rosie* So, how should I address you, Attorney Park?
Roseanne: I bet she's as gorgeous as you, too. *smiles* Since you want this talk to be less formal, call me Rosie. *extends her hand for a handshake which Jisoo responds in the same way*
Jisoo: Tell me what this meeting is about, Rosie. You mentioned Dad's case a while ago on the phone. Is there any update? I am starting to lose hope already. *sips coffee to hide sadness and hopelessness*
Roseanne: Here. *opens the folder lying on the table* Heads up, Jisoo. I am not the lead lawyer who is handling this case. I am just here as a substitute, but I will try to help in every way possible regarding your father's matter. *picks some photos and shows them to Jisoo*
Jisoo: What are these? *takes the photos and looks at them. She vividly remembered before, but now it is all clear again*
Roseanne: They are all related to this red car and that blue car, plus your father inside this car. It's not just a mere accident, as some people from that scene claimed. I am sure you know that.
Jisoo: Yes. I do not believe in it since my Dad kept getting calls a few days before it happened, but he tried avoiding them. There is foul play here. That is what I do not understand, Rosie.
Roseanne: So, we searched further and found all the possible leads that went in circles for months. I am sorry about that. Now, look at this. *points at one photo of a man wearing a black suit* This man is the culprit. We found pieces of evidence from all the encounters the team and police officers have had with him. He is part of the notorious syndicate of which your Dad was aware. Your Dad was after him and the cartel. Before this, your Dad requested to keep you and your sister safe. Your Dad also worked as an elite officer in Korean Intelligence Agency. Those people following you are from KIA. You do not have to worry. They are good at doing their job.
