Chapter 5: Paper Rings

Though exhausted from an exhausting hour outside, she took the time to cook some quick pasta for Jennie. It's past dinner time, and when Jennie wakes up, she must be hungry. Lisa quietly prepared some ingredients while checking on Jennie from time to time.

"You must be an angel sent from above? Look at what I am doing now, girl. I have never done this to any woman I dated in the past. I do not know, but maybe you are here to change me? What's with your presence? I get these butterflies in my stomach just seeing you here." *She uttered to herself while cooking as quietly as possible. She does not want to disturb Jennie.*

Moments later, Jennie woke up. She felt puzzled and confused, then realized that she had fallen asleep on Lisa's bed. She gets up suddenly and looks for her shoes. It's quiet, but she smells food. "Ugh! What time is it?" * She grabs her phone and quickly leaves the room.* She almost slipped on the box near the door out of rush.

Lisa: Oh, hey, beautiful! You are up! Come here. I prepared something for you. *smiles at Jennie*

Jennie: Lisa? Lisa Manoban? *stares at Lisa*

Lisa: Yes, that's me. How did you know my name? I do not remember saying to you. My bad. *closes the stove and walks towards Jennie*

Jennie: I saw the name on your luggage. *smiles* You just called me Chanel girl, so I bet you forgot mine? *walks with Lisa towards the small dining table*

Lisa: Then maybe we can start over here right now. *pulls the chair and waits for Jennie to sit down* My name is Lisa Manoban. I am Thai, but I speak Korean and French; add English. I already mentioned to you that I am a lawyer, right? What else have I forgotten? Uhmm. *smirks, puts her face closer to Jennie, and asks for a handshake that closes...*

Jennie: *too stunned to even speak because Lisa's face is just a breath away from her* Your... Uhm. Chanel girl is Jennie Ruby Jane Kim in real life, and I am in front of you. *she replies to Lisa's handshake*

Lisa: You have a beautiful name, and it's as beautiful as you are. *You have to know that I am not flirting with you. You are freaking gorgeous.—She uttered to herself.*

Jennie: You must be hungry! Hahaha! Have a seat. What did you cook for me? *looks at the food on the table*

Lisa: It's just a quick lemon ricotta pasta. That's all I could do since I have not gone to the market yet. If you want, we can also order. Got something in mind that you want to eat?

Jennie: Uhmm. YOU! *does not even know why she replied that* Just kidding! Hahaha! It looks delicious! *fuck you self for saying that, but half of me is not even kidding. My gosh! – she uttered while looking at Lisa*

Lisa: *gulps* Are you serious? Hahaha! Well, you can eat me later, or I will eat you later? Hahaha! *points at the bedroom and winks at Jennie*

Jennie: *gulps and suddenly gets nervous – what am I bringing myself into, huh? – she uttered while looking, trying to avoid eye contact with Lisa.* You are crazy! I said I am just kidding. Come here. Let's eat! FOOD!

Lisa: Haha! And you are so funny and hot too, just like this food. *puts some on Jennie's plate and sits in front of her*

Their conversation went on for hours and hours until it was midnight again. They had some beer bottles and talked as if the night was forever.

Jennie: I am sorry that I fell asleep on your bed. I also apologize for fixing some folders on it. They are all on the side table. When I arrived here, your bedroom looked so messy. Haha! You must be very busy. You have a pile of reading materials here, I guess. I think I am occupying much of your time. *serious tone suddenly*

Lisa: Ooh! No. No! Aniyo! It's okay. I am happy that you are here. I was somewhat expecting you'd return, so here you are! *smiles at Jennie* Can I confess something to you?

Jennie: Aish! I returned for my cardigan, not you! Just kidding! *smiles at Lisa* What is it? *both of them sit on the couch located in the bedroom*

Lisa: Yesterday, I asked my best friend, a lawyer, to look for you in Centerbiold. I wanted to know your name and things about you. I wanted to meet you again. *looks calm but nervous inside*

Jennie: Uh-oh! I did the same thing. Haha! I also asked my Unnie to look for you. It was just later on that I found your name on your luggage. But hey! Things about me? I remember we talked for so many hours and even forgot a proper introduction, so why do you want to know 'stuff about me? *teases Lisa and gets closer to her on the couch*

Lisa: Your question is a no-brainer. *she stares at Jennie and puts her face closer to her* It is because I want to know you more. I want to know you better, Jennie. *she stares at Jennie's lips for a moment, then looks at her straight in the eyes*

Jennie: Uhh! Such a flirt! *laughs and drifts away from Lisa's deadly stare*

Lisa: Oh, look who is talking now! I remember someone just said she wanted to eat me! Hahaha! *laughs at the thought of it, and Jenne suddenly blushes*

Jennie: You're crazy! *throws a small pillow at Lisa*

Lisa: Crazy about you, yes! *receives the pillow and pulls Jennie closer to her again*

Jennie: Aigoo! *lands on top of Lisa's body*

Suddenly, the coldness of the room turns into a fiery night. Two souls are entwined in the spiraling hours of their moment...

Lisa stares at Jennie with lust and passion in her eyes. On the other hand, Jennie begins questioning why she is giving in this fast. She has never been like this. But at that moment, the world stops. It is just them. She finds comfort just seeing Lisa.

Lisa: I want to feel every inch of you, Jennie. *She caresses Jennie's face and tries to set aside some hair that blocks the way to her lips. She lands a soft but sweet kiss on Jennie's nose down to her lips.*

Jennie: Umm. Uhhh... *responds to Lisa's* Why are you doing this? *she uttered while responding to her kisses*

Lisa: What do you mean? *pulls Jennie closer and gives a peck on her lips; also stares at her with wonder*

Jennie: This. *touches Lisa's lips*

Lisa: Because I am into you. I like you, Jennie. I want you, Jennie. I also do not understand myself, but the moment we met, I could not get my thoughts off of you. *while Jennie's still on top of her, she slowly moves her hands and holds Jennie's face*

Jennie: I also do not understand what you are doing to me. I came back here because I wanted to see you so bad. I do not know. I want to be with you, Lisa. *she puts her face closer to Lisa and lands a kiss on her lips*

Lisa: Stay with me, then. Be here. I am yours. *she whispered into Jennie's ears, then responded to her kisses*
