Chapter 6 - Honestly

If someone told Taehyung that he is the mate of the Jeon Jungkook as a fact, he would have shut that person down with the most hilarious laugh followed by a bunch of abusive words and would have probably held a grudge for toying with his feelings like that.

But now, as he is cuddled up with Jimin on his living room single seater couch with Namjoon and Seokjin sitting on the sofa looking at him as if he'd be the one to start a conversation with them about of course his mate— fucking God, Jeon Jungkook, the leader of Blue Moon pack, his crush since forever is his mate!— to get rid of this silence.

"So, Sir is Taehyung's mate?" Jimin asks cutting off the silence where there wasn't any other sound except the vague low buzzing sound ringing through Taehyung's ears.

"That's what Sir said and I believe in him." Namjoon nods, fingers intertwining with his mate's as if Seokjin's touch provides him with comfort. "He is not a man that'll fool us, I have my whole life committed to him as his advisor but still he is my superior, someone for whom I hold the most respect and his final words are my only truth." He sighs.

"Nothing new," Taehyung voices out, "let's talk about what's actually new."

"Technically there is nothing new about this situation either," Seokjin rests his head over his mate's shoulder as he looks right into Taehyung's eyes in a way that makes Taehyung feel intimidated, "he is your mate and he is being a good werewolf letting you know about it beforehand and proposing a courting session because you and I both know the existence of alphas like such could be literally counted on fingers." He finishes off his words by wiggling his fingers just to make it seem more intimidating.

"Don't you think that's literally bare minimum?" Taehyung still argues just to keep the topic of alphas doing one thing that they are actually supposed to do and then getting praised over it as if they are God stagnant.

"Don't bring that bullshit around me," Seokjin sneers clearly getting rubbed off the wrong way over the attitude of his mate's brother, "I'm well aware what's bare minimum and what's not, don't turn the things I taught you on me and for your fucking information there is absolutely no alpha who takes permission from the family members first before they confront the omega or beta or whatever." He scoffs.

"Language, Jin." Namjoon points a sharp look over his shoulder and it's almost funny how Seokjin's body posture immediately gets ductile and pilant.

Taehyung could never, seriously. The head alpha would never have the privilege to witness Taehyung being a docile omega.

Minus the time the leader had Taehyung pinned against a wall, the omega was very nervous already so that isn't supposed to be counted.

Okay.

Anyways, no matter how much in love Taehyung is, he is his own person and he'd be damned if he let some other alpha order him around like a dog with a master.

"Still, that's what an alpha is supposed to do if they are planning to court their mate." Taehyung still stands by his words, lips moulding into a pout. "No matter who, even if he is the most respected citizen of Blue Moon."

"Sir is the most respected citizen of this whole world," Namjoon corrects and there is a sharp bite in his words as if Taehyung's words offended him, "he is one of the heads of werewolf committee and the fact that his words always are the final verdict does say a lot about his value as a werewolf doesn't it?" His eyebrows raised up in a challenging quirk.

Taehyung scoffs. "Whoever he might be for the world, he is my mate to me."

A laugh is heard almost sarcastic from Namjoon as he waves his hand around the air, "my little brother you seem to be mistaken," he takes a deep breath, "this courting proposal isn't for you to evaluate your mate, it's for Sir to decide if you'd be an omega he'd like to mate or even consider, he waited all this long just because his family follows the tradition of mating with the one they are fated to, you rub him off the wrong way and you'd never be by his side as his Luna." He pauses and then looks right into Taehyung's eyes. "That's how serious it is."
